«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Ամբողջ աշխարհում հայտնի ապրանքանիշերից մեկը «Jack Daniel's» վիսկին է: Այդ ալկոհոլային խմիչքի պատմությունը սկսվել է մի քանի դար առաջ՝ 18-րդ դարից: Այն առաջին անգամ պատրաստվել է Թեննեսի նահանգի Լինչբերգ քաղաքի սպիրտի թորման գործարանում, որը կրում էր իր սեփականատիրոջ՝ Ջեք Դանիելի անունը: Ի դեպ, սա վիսկիի ամենահին ապրանքանիշն է: Արտադրության տեղը պատահականորեն չի ընտրվել, քանի որ հենց այնտեղ կային բոլոր անհրաժեշտ նյութերը և աղբյուրի մաքուր ջուրը, ինչն էապես նվազեցրել է ձեռնարկության կազմակերպման և շահագործման ծախսերը: Ապրանքանիշի պատմությունը սկսվել է 1866 թվականից, երբ Ջեք Դանիելը ձեռք է բերել հողամաս Լինչբուրգի մոտակայքում, որտեղ եղել է կրաքարի միջոցով զտված ջրաղբյուր: Նախկինում այդ տարածքը մաս է կազմել Լինքոլնի կոմսության, իսկ այժմ գտնվում է Մուրի կոմսությունում:

Նույն թվականին Դանիելը ԱՄՆ-ում առաջին անգամ գրանցել է իր սպիրտի թորման գործարանը: Այդ ժամանակ ապրանքանիշի հիմնադիրը 20 տարեկան էլ չի եղել: Ի դեպ, նրա ծննդյան մասին ոչ մի փաստաթուղթ չի պահպանվել, ուստի ծննդյան ճշգրիտ տարին հայտնի չէ: Չնայած այդքան երիտասարդ տարիքին, Ջեքը շատ լայն գիտելիքներ է ունեցել: Նա դեռ 14 տարեկանում է ստեղծել իր առաջին սպիրտի թորման սարքը և լավ գումար վաստակել ալկոհոլային խմիչքներ վաճառելով: «Jack Daniel's» վիսկիի համար նախնական տարա են եղել ապակե սափորները, ինչպես այն ժամանակվա բոլոր խմիչքների դեպքում էր: Այնուամենայնիվ, Ջեք Դանիելը որոշել է, որ անհրաժեշտ է յուրաքանչյուր տարայի վրա նշել իր անունը՝ յուրատեսակ լոգոտիպի տեսքով: Նույնիսկ կլոր շշերի հայտնվելուց հետո, երբ դրանք են սկսել օգտագործել վիսկու շշալցման համար, այդ պատկերանշանը չի փոխվել:

«Jack Daniel's» վիսկու մեզ ծանոթ տեսքը՝ քառակուսի ապակյա շիշն իր համապատասխան պատկերանշանով, հայտնվել է 1895 թվականին, և ինչքան էլ զարմանալի է, բայց այդ ժամանակվանից այդ շշի արտաքին պարամետրերը չեն փոխվել: «Jack Daniel's» վիսկին կարելի է առանձնացնել իր յուրահատուկ համով: Բանն այն է, որ այդ ըմպելիքը զտվում է ամերիկյան թխկու փայտածուխով, և դա վիսկիին տալիս է բացառիկ համ ու բույր: Այդ ֆիլտրման մեթոդը հորինել է Ալֆրեդ Իտոնը, բայց այն իր անունն է ստացել այն տարածքի անունից, որտեղ առաջին անգամ կիրառվել է: Լինկոլն կոմսության անունից այն այդպես էլ կոչվել է «Լինկոլն կոմսության թորման պրոցես» (Lincoln County process): Համարվում է, որ Ջեկ Դենիելը իր թորման արտադրամասը հիմնադրել է հենց այն վայրում, որտեղ նախկինում եղել է Իտոնի փոքրիկ թորման արտադրամասը:

1988 թվականին առաջին անգամ փորձարկվել է սպիրտի կրկնակի զտման նոր մեթոդը. սկզբից՝ կաղնու տակառները վիսկու սպիրտ լցնելուց առաջ, իսկ հետո՝ չորս տարվա հնեցումից հետո շշալցումից առաջ: Արդյունքում ստացվել է էլ ավելի նուրբ համով և հոտով ըմպելիք: Ներկայումս էլ «Jack Daniel's» վիսկին սիրված է շատերի կողմից, և դա զարմանալի չէ՝ հաշվի առնելով այդ ապրանքանիշի ըմպելիքի հաճելի և գրավիչ համն ու հոտը:
