«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Քանի՞ սպիրտային խմիչք գիտեք, որը հավասար հաջողությամբ կարելի է խառնել թեյի, լիմոնադի կամ նույնիսկ կեֆիրի հետ: Հավանաբար՝ քիչ: Նման ունիվերսալ լիկյորներից է էստոնական՝ Տալլինյան լիկյորը՝ Vana Tallinn-ը, որը հաճելի է խմել թե՛ մաքուր տեսքով, թե՛ ամենաարտասովոր կոկտեյլների կազմում։ Այսօր Vana Tallinn ապրանքանիշի լիկյորների շարքը ներառում է 12 տեսակ։ Դրանց մեջ կան կրեմով, ֆրանսիական կոնյակի խառնուրդով և գրոգի խառնուրդով լիկյորներ։ Կա 45 աստիճան սպիրտայնությամբ լիկյոր և դրա 10 աստիճանով թեթևացրած տարբերակը: Դրա ստեղծողները, լիկյորին ավելացնելով այնպիսի համեմունքներ, ինչպիսիք են դարչինը, հիլը և մշկընկույզը, հաստատ ոգեշնչվել են հյուսիսի դաժան գեղեցկությամբ: Եթե այցելեք էստոնական Liviko գործարան՝ շրջայցի, պարզ կդառնա, որ լիկյորի ստեղծման գաղափարն առաջացել է 1960-ականներին, երբ քաղցր ոգելից խմիչքների նորաձևություն էր առաջացել:

Նման արտադրություն ստեղծելու ծրագիրը մտել էր Էստոնական ԽՍՀ-ի 60-ականների հնգամյա պլանի մեջ։ Խմիչքը ստեղծվել է ամենակարճ ժամանակում, և արդեն 1962 թվականին այն վաճառքի է հանվել։ Առաջին Vana Tallinn-ը եղել է մուգ շագանակագույն ռոմի վրա հիմնված ըմպելիք: Որպես բուրավետիչներ օգտագործվել են ցիտրուսային յուղեր, դարչին և վանիլ։ Այն ժամանակ բոլոր բաղադրիչները գործարան են մատակարարել ԽՍՀՄ-ի բարեկամ երկրները։ Ռոմը եղել է կուբայական, իսկ համեմունքները՝ հնդկական։ Ներկայում մատակարարները փոխվել են՝ ռոմը բերում են Ջամայկայից, իսկ համեմունքներ հավաքում են ամբողջ աշխարհով մեկ։ Լիկյորի բաղադրատոմսը հիմա էլ գրեթե անփոփոխ է մնացել։ Միակ փոփոխությունն այն է, որ գլիցերին չի օգտագործվում, որը խորհրդային տարիներին օգտագործվում էր լիկյորն ավելի թանձրացնելու համար։ ԽՍՀՄ տարիներին անսովոր ծաղկաբույրով նոր խմիչքը շատ արագ են սիրել ոչ միայն հենց էստոնացիները, այլ նաև սոցիալիստական ճամբարի բոլոր այն բնակիչները, որոնք հնարավորություն են ունեցել փորձել այն:

Ի դեպ, ներկայում էլ այդ լիկյորը մնում է էստոնացիների սիրելի խմիչքներից մեկը։ Արտադրանքի ավելի քան 50 տոկոսը խմում են հենց Էստոնիայում: Սկզբում արտադրողները ցանկանում էին լիկյորն անվանել Vana Toomas (հին Թոոմաս), բայց հետո դրա փոխարեն որոշել են հավերժացնել Տալլինը։ Շշի ձևն, ի դեպ, դեռ կրկնում է Տալլինի քաղաքային աշտարակի ձևը։ Ներկայում Տալլինյան լիկյոր կարելի է գնել աշխարհի 22 երկրում։ Նույնիսկ Ավստրալիայում կարելի է այն գտնել ցանկության դեպքում, չնայած, իհարկե, այդ խմիչքի սիրահարների մեծ մասն ապրում է Բալթյան երկրներում և Ռուսաստանում: Տալլինյան լիկյորի ժողովրդականությունը հիմնված է երկու սյան վրա՝ ամենաբարձր որակի բաղադրիչներ և դրանց հետ մշտական փորձերի իրականացում: Ինչպես հավաստիացնում են գործարանում, հիմա էլ ոչ ոք չգիտի այս կամ այն տեսակ լիկյորի ճշգրիտ բաղադրատոմսը, և այդ գաղտնիքը վարպետից վարպետ է փոխանցվում։
