Հայաստանում Արևմտյան Նեղոսի տենդից նախորդ շաբաթ մահացել է ևս 2 քաղաքացի։ Panorama.am-ը ՀՀ առողջապահության նախարարության մամուլի խոսնակ Մարիամ Ծատրյանից տեղեկացավ, որ քաղաքացիները 80 տարեկանից բարձր էին, ունեցել էին մի շարք ուղեկցող քրոնիկ հիվանդություններ։

Այսպիսով, Հայաստանում Արևմտյան Նեղոսի տենդից այսօրվա դրությամբ մահացել է 3 մարդ, սեպտեմբերի 6-ի դրությամբ գրանցված է Արևմտյան Նեղոսի տենդի  լաբորատոր հաստատված 108 դեպք։

Ինֆեկցիոն հիվանդությունների ազգային կենտրոնից հայտնել են, որ հիվանդությունը մարդուց մարդուն ՉԻ փոխանցվում, բայց կարող է փոխանցվել արյան փոխներարկման, օրգանների փոխպատվաստման միջոցով և մորից երեխային ճանապարհով։
Հիվանդության գաղտնի շրջանը 2-3 շաբաթ է:

Վարակվածներից 5-ից 1-ի մոտ զարգանում են կլինիկական երևույթներ՝
դող, ջերմության բարձրացում՝ 38-40°С,
գլխացավ,
տարածուն մկանացավեր, հոդացավեր,
փսխում,
փորլուծություն,
մարմնի ցանավորում։

Վարակվածների 1 %-ի մոտ կարող է առաջանալ կենտրոնական նյարդային համակարգի ախտահարում՝ էնցեֆալիտ կամ մենինգիտ, որոնց դեպքում կարող են դիտվել՝
.սաստիկ, տանջող, պուլսացող գլխացավեր,
.ջերմության բարձրացում՝ 40 0C և ավելի,
.անզուսպ փսխումներ,
.լուսավախություն,
.ջղաձգումներ, ցնցումներ,
.գիտակցության խանգարման տարբեր աստիճաններ։

Արևմտյան Նեղոսի տենդի դեպքում ռիսկի խմբում են՝
.տարեցները,
.սիրտ-անոթային համակարգի հիվանդություններ ունեցող անձինք,
.ուռուցքային հիվանդություններ ունեցող անձինք,
.շաքարային դիաբետ ունեցող անձինք,
.քրոնիկական երիկամային խնդիրներ ունեցող անձինք և այլն։

Արևմտյան Նեղոսի տենդով վարակվելու կանխարգելման անհատական պաշտպանության միջոցառումները ներառում են մոծակների դեմ պայքարի միջոցների օգտագործումը, մարմնի մեծ մասը ծածկող հագուստի կրումը և մոծակներից պաշտպանված տարածքներում քնելը:
