Տնտեսության տարածքային համաչափ զարգացումը մշատապես եղել է ինչպես մեր երկրի, այնպես էլ բազմաթիվ խոշոր և տնտեսապես հզոր երկրների կառավարությունների առանցքային խնդիրներից մեկը: Անգամ Խորհդային Միությունը, որ իր ներուժով ու տնտեսական հզորությամբ աննախադեպ ցուցանիշներ էր արձանագրում, ձեռնարկում էր հնարավոր և անհնար բոլոր քայլերը տարածքային համաչափ զարգացում ապահովելու, մասնավորապես հեռավորարևելյան և հյուսիսային անմարդաբնակ տարածքները բնակեցնելու և տնտեսապես զարգացնելու ուղղությամբ: Բանն այն է, որ տարածքային համաչափ զարգացումը հնարավորություն է տալիս երկրի տնտեսությանը ավելի հեշտ դիմագրավել տարբեր մարտահրավերների, ինչպես նաև ապահովում է տնտեսական զարգացման ավելի բարձր տեմպեր և ռեսուրսների ավելի օպտիմալ օգտագործման հնարավորություններ:

Անդրադառնալով մերօրյա իրականությանը՝ պետք է փաստենք, որ տարածքային համաչափ զարգացման տեսանկյունից մեր երկիրը բավականին խոցելի է: Միայն այն հանգամանքը որ երկրի բնակչության կեսից ավելին կենտրոնացած են 3 խոշոր քաղաքներում, արդեն ասում է ամեն ինչ: Սակայն հիմնական խնդիրն այն է, որ այս կենտրոնացումը այնքան էլ պայմանավորված չէ ո´չ ռեսուրսների տեղաբաշխումով, ո´չ էլ աշխատանքային պայմաններով: Որպես վառ օրինակ դիտարկենք ՀՀ տարբեր մարզերում միջին աշխատավարձի չափը:

Այսպես. համաձայն Ազգային վիճակագրական ծառայության տվյալների՝ Հայաստանում ամենաբարձր աշխատավարձը ստանում են սյունեցիները: Այս մարզում միջին ամսական անվանական աշխատավարձը կազմում է ամսական 139.061 հազար դրամ: Նման բարձր ցուցանիշը պայմանավորված է մարզում առկա լեռնահանքային արդյունաբերական համալիրներով, որոնք բնական հարստությունների կորզման հաշվին արձանագրում են բավականին խոշոր արտադրական ցուցանիշներ: Հետաքրքրական է նաև այն, որ Սյունիքի մարզի միջին ամսական աշխատավարջը ավելին է, քան Երևան քաղաքի միջին ամսական անվանական աշխատավարձը: Վերջինս նախորդ տարում բարձրացել է շուրջ 9.5 տոկոսով և այժմ կազմում է 124.838 հազար դրամ:

Նշված ցուցանիշով 3-րդ հորիզոնականում է Արմավիրի մարզը, որտեղ միջին ամսական անվանական աշխատավարձը կազմում է 101.164 հազար դրամ, ՀՀ մյուս մարզերում միջին ամսական անվանական աշխատավարձի մակարդակը տատանվում է 80-90 հազար դրամի սահմաններում, իսկ առավել ցածր է Արագածոտնի մարզում, որտեղ միջին ամսական անվանական աշխատավարձը կազմում է ընդամենը 78.524 հազար դրամ: Սա պայմանավորված է ինչպես մարզի բնակլիմայական անբարենպաստ պայմաններով, այնպես էլ մարզում արտադրական ձեռնարկությունների փոքր և սակավաթիվ լինելով:

Այսպիսով, ամփոփելով նշվածը, պետք է փաստենք, որ ՀՀ ում բնակչության միգրացիան, որ հիմնականում ընթանում է դեպի Երևան և մյուս խոշոր քաղաքներ, ըստ էության, այնքան էլ կապված չէ տնտեսության իրական պատկերի հետ, քանի որ առավելագույն շահույթի տեսության համաձայն, աշխատուժը մշտապես տեղաշարժվում է այն ուղղությամբ, որտեղ այդ աշխատանքի համար առավել բարձր է վարձատրությունը: Սակայն ՀՀ-ի դեպքում այս միգրացիան գլխավորապես ուղղվում է դեպի Երևան քաղաք՝ էլ ավելի խորացնելով տարածքային անհամաչափ զարգացման հիմնախնդիրը:
