Վահե Հովհաննիսյանը տելեգրամյան իր ալիքում գրել է.
Իրավիճակը լավ չպատկերացնելու և ազգային անհոգության հիմքում սեփական պատմության չիմացությունն է։
Մենք գիտենք Գնթունիկի «պեռոժնու» գինը, բաղադրությունը, լավն ու վատը, բայց երբեք չենք մտածի, որ Բաշ-Ապարանի կռիվը այդ կողմերում է տեղի ունեցել՝ Երևանից ընդամենը մեկ ժամ հեռավորության վրա։ Անգամ երբ լուսանկարվում ենք հուշահամալիրի մոտ, միևնույն է չգիտենք իրականում, թե դա ի´նչ կռիվ էր, ի´նչ էր այդ ժամանակ կատարվում տարածաշրջանում, ի´նչ էր Թուրքիան, ո´ւր էր գնում նրա բանակը Ապարանով, ի´նչ էր Ռուսաստանը, ի´նչ էինք մենք։
Այս իշխանությունը, հասկանալով կամ չհասկանալով, տարածաշրջանը տանում է խոշոր պատերազմի, որը տեղի է ունենալու մեր տարածքում՝ մեր քաղաքների ու գյուղերի ռմբակոծմամբ։
Եթե ուժ չենք գտնում փոխելու այս իշխանությունը, չենք ուզում փոխել կամ ավելին՝ խոնարհվում ու սպասարկում ենք նրան, ապա պետք է գոնե խնդրել՝ ուժեղացնել քաղպաշտպանության համակարգը՝ ռմբապաստարաններ, իրազեկման համակարգեր և այլն։ Որովհետև այս ընթացքը այլ ելք չի ենթադրում։
Չորս կողմից մեզ զգուշացնում են՝ ռուսերեն, պարսկերեն, թուրքերեն, անգլերեն, որ վտանգավոր բան եք անում։ Իսկ մենք ոչ մի ռացիոնալ բան չենք անում, ոչ մի նպատակ չենք դնում, ոչ մի բանակցային իդեա չունենք։ Տհաս անչափահասի նման բոլոր առաջարկները մերժում ենք ու բոլորի համար ստեղծում լուրջ պրոբլեմներ։ Պարզ չէ՞, վերջը ոնց է լինելու։ Երևանը չի ձևակերպում իր գրագետ հաշվարկված շահը, բայց բոլորի շահերի հետ հակադրվում է։ Իսկ պարտված հասարակությունը ոչինչ չի ուզում՝ ո´չ ներկա, ո´չ նախկին, ոչ էլ՝ ապագա։ Ուզում է միայն կենցաղ ու անվտանգություն, որն էլ հենց չի լինելու։
Հետևություն
1. Լայն հասարակությանը պետք է ճիշտ ներկայացնել վիճակը, և պայքարի հստակ նարատիվը. ընդվզիր, որ լինի խաղաղություն։ Այս ընթացքը տանում է աղետի։
2. Հարթակը պետք է դառնա առավելագույնս ռացիոնալ և հստակ ձևակերպի իր նպատակը. Դեէսկալացիա երկրի ներսում, Դեէսկալացիա՝ երկրի սահմաններին։

Այս երկու կետերը ենթադրում են բազմաթիվ ենթակետեր ու տեխնիկական աշխատանք։ Հենց նման հարթակն է դառնալու հետպատերազմյան նոր լիդերություն, որը համախմբելու է բոլոր առողջ ուժերին, բոլոր ունակներին։
