«There Was, There Was Not» ֆիլմն արցախցի կանանց մասին, որոնք հայրենիք են կորցրել, կցուցադրվի DOC NYC փառատոնում

Կորսված հայրենիքը Նյու Յորքի DOC NYC վավերագրական ֆիլմերի ամենամեծ փառատոներից մեկի ուշադրության կենտրոնում է, որի շրջանակում տեղի կունենա Էմիլի Մկրտչյանի «There Was, There Was Not» վավերագրական ֆիլմի պրեմիերան, տեղեկացրել է IndieWire-ը։
Արցախի կորուստը Մկրտչյանի բազմամյա նախագիծը դարձնում է հատկապես արդիական եւ հուզական իմաստով ռեզոնանսային։ Այն ստեղծում է ինտիմ դիմանկար՝ կենտրոնացած չորս հայ կանանց վրա, որոնք հայտնվել են Արցախի դեմ Ադրբեջանի անսպասելի հարձակման նախաշեմին եւ դրանից հետո։
«Ի սկզբանե Էմիլի Մկրտչյանը մտադիր էր նկարահանել ֆիլմ Արցախի՝ ինքնավար, Ադրբեջանի եւ Հայաստանի միջեւ վիճելի էթնիկ հայ տարածքի կանանց առօրյա կյանքի ու հույսերի մասին, հակամարտության անանց ժառանգությամբ։ Նա հետեւել է սկսնակ քաղաքական գործչի, կանանց իրավունքների համար պայքարող ակտիվիստուհու եւ ձյուդոյի չեմպիոնուհու կյանքին, որոնք պայքարում էին փխրուն խաղաղության համար՝ կառուցելով իրենց կյանքը։ 2020թ., երբ Ադրբեջանը սկսեց անսպասելի հարձակումը եւ նորից պատերազմ սկսվեց, Մկրտչյանը շարունակեց նկարահանել, երբ իր շուրջը կրակոցներ սկսվեցին, դառնալով այն բանի վկան, թե ինչպես են իր հերոսների աշխարհներն ու երազները փոխվում անմիջապես։ Վավերագրական ֆիլմը վերածվեց դիտորդական մեդիտացիայի ուժի մասին՝ ողջ մնալու անհապաղ պատկերում, որը պատկերել է կորստի սպառնալիքի առջեւ կանգնած հայրենիքի անձնական եւ մշակութային ազդեցությունը, եւ պատմության ուժը, որն աջակցում է նրա կյանքին»,- նշված է ֆիլմի սինոփսիսում։
Կինեմատոգրաֆիստները եւ փառատոնի այցելուները, ներառյալ կանադացի ռեժիսոր Ատոմ Էգոյանը, բարձր են գնահատել «There Was, There Was Not»-ը։
IndieWire-ը ֆիլմն առանձնացրել է որպես True/False փառատոնի այս տարեսկզբի լավագույն ֆիլմերից մեկը, իսկ Սյուզաննա Գրուդերը գրել է, որ ֆիլմը «ընդգծում է քաջությունն ու տոկունությունը պատերազմին դեմ-հանդիման, ինչպես նաեւ նրանց կորցրած սիրելի հայրենիքի ժամանակային պարկուճ է ծառայում»։
