Կրթության ոլորտը թերևս այն ոլորտներից մեկն է, որի վերաբերյալ պարբերաբար ահազանգեր է MediaHub-ը ստանում՝ սկսած աշակերտների ծնողների բողոքից կրթության որակի, դասագրքերում երբեմն աբսուրդային առաջադրանքներից ու տեքստերից (օրինակ՝ «շունը ձու է ածում» արտահայտությունը), վերջացրած ուսուցիչ-աշակերտ փոխհարաբերություններից և այլն:   

Հերթական ահազանգը, որ ստացել ենք, երևանյան դպրոցներից մեկի 5-րդ դասարանի աշակերտների ծնողներից է, որոնք պնդում են՝ կան դպրոցներ, որտեղ աշակերտներն ընթացիկ գնահատականներ ստանում են, և կան այնպիսիք, որտեղ  ընթացիկ գնահատականներ չեն դրվում: Մեզ ահազանգած ծնողներն անհանգստանում են, քանի որ ընթացիկ գնահատականներն օգնում են հասկանալ, թե որ առարկայից է երեխան ավելի ուժեղ, իսկ որ առարկան պետք է մի փոքր պարապել և ամրացնել գիտելիքները: 

Ինչպե՞ս է որոշվում, թե ո՞ր դպրոցներում են երեխաները ստանում ընթացիկ գնահատականներ, իսկ որ դպրոցներում՝ ոչ. MediaHub-ն այս հարցն ուղղեց ԿԳՄՍ փոխնախարար Արաքսիա Սվաջյանին։

Վերջինս ընդունեց՝ փոփոխություններ եղել են: «Ընթացիկ գնահատման համակարգում փոփոխություններ են տեղի ունեցել, որոնցից մեկը՝ ընթացիկ գնահատումը, միավորների գնահատումով չիրականացնելն է։ Երեխան դաս է պատմում, ոչ թե պետք է ասեն՝ «6, նստիր», այլ պետք է ասեն՝ «այս կտորը դու լավ պատկերացնում էիր, լավ կարողացար վերլուծել, բայց այս մասը քո մոտ լավ չի ստացվում, պետք է ավելի շատ աշխատես»»,– ասաց Սվաջյանը։

Ըստ փոխնախարարի՝ միավորային գնահատումը 5–րդ դասարանից սկսած պետք է ստանան թեմատիկ ստուգումների ժամանակ, երբ թեման ամփոփվում է, այն կարող է տևել 1, 2 կամ 10 դաս՝ տարբեր թեմաներ տարբեր կերպ է թեմատիկ ստուգում իրականացվում։ 

Հարցին՝ ինչո՞ւ են տարբեր դպրոցներում տարբեր մոտեցումներ կիրառվում, փոխնախարարը պատասխանեց․ «Մենք տեղեկատվական համակարգում այդ հարցը փակել ենք, փակել ենք ընթացիկով միավոր դնելու հնարավորությունը, բայց կան դպրոցներ, որ անգամ տարրական դասարաններում միավոր են դնում, թեև չպետք է դնեն: Այսինքն՝ դպրոցները, երբեմն իներցիայով, շարունակում են նույն կերպ աշխատել, բայց երբեմն նաև ուսուցիչների պատկերացումներից էլ է կախված. շատ ուսուցիչներ գնահատականներն օգտագործում են աշակերտներին կառավարելու տեսակետից, ինչպես վատը, այնպես էլ առաջադիմությունը խրախուսելու տեսակետից»։

Ապա հավելեց․ «Հետևաբար, այդ գործիքը՝ միավորով երեխային կառավարելու, ուսուցիչները չեն ուզում կորցնել, դրան զուգահեռ իրենք չեն տեսնում այլ գործիքներ, որոնցով կարող են երեխային կառավարել, եթե պետք է դա անել, որպեսզի հմտությունները զարգանան»։
