ՀՀ ԱԺ Հայաստան-Մեծ Բրիտանիա բարեկամական խմբի ղեկավար Էդուարդ Աղաջանյանը դեկտեմբերի 13-ին հանդիպել է Մեծ Բրիտանիայի եւ Հյուսիսային Իռլանդիայի Միացյալ Թագավորության խորհրդարանի Լորդերի պալատի անդամ Մարկ ՄըքԻննեսին, ով Երեւան է ժամանել՝ մասնակցելու «Ընդդեմ ցեղասպանության հանցագործության» 5-րդ գլոբալ ֆորումին:
Հանդիպմանը մասնակցել են բարեկամական խմբի անդամներ, ԱԺ «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» խմբակցության պատգամավորներ Մարիա Կարապետյանը, Զարուհի Բաթոյանը, Մարիամ Պողոսյանը եւ ԱԺ «Հայաստան» խմբակցության անդամ Արթուր Խաչատրյանը:
Էդուարդ Աղաջանյանը կարեւորել է Հայաստանի եւ Միացյալ Թագավորության միջեւ ռազմավարական երկխոսության հաստատումը՝ ընդգծելով, մասնավորապես, համագործակցությունը տարածաշրջանային անվտանգության, մարդու իրավունքների հարցերում: Նա տեղեկացրել է, որ Հայաստանում իրականացվող բարեփոխումներն ուղղված են երկրի կայուն զարգացմանը: Էդուարդ Աղաջանյանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Մեծ Բրիտանիայի կառավարությանը՝ ԼՂ-ից բռնի տեղահանված մեր հայրենակիցներին աջակցելու նպատակով Հայաստանի Կարմիր խաչի միջազգային կոմիտեին ֆինանսական օգնություն ցուցաբերելու համար:
Բարեկամական խմբի ղեկավարը խոսել է նաեւ երկու երկրների խորհրդարանների համագործակցության մասին, կարեւորել հատկապես խորհրդարանական բարեկամական խմբերի միջեւ ակտիվ երկխոսությունը:
Երկու երկրների միջեւ հարաբերությունների խորացման համատեքստում Էդուարդ Աղաջանյանն արժեւորել է նաեւ Լոնդոնում Հայաստանի դեսպանատան նոր շենքի ձեռքբերման հարցը:
ԱԺ Հայաստան-Մեծ Բրիտանիա բարեկամական խմբի անդամներն անդրադարձել են Հարավային Կովկասում անվտանգություն եւ խաղաղություն հաստատելուն, ԼՂ-ից բռնի տեղահանված մեր հայրենակիցներին ուղղված սոցիալական ծրագրերի իրականացմանը վերաբերող հարցերին, ընդգծել միջազգային գործընկերների հետ երկարաժամկետ ծրագրերի իրականացման անհրաժեշտությունը:
Մարկ ՄըքԻննեսն իր հերթին նշել է, որ Հայաստանը Մեծ Բրիտանիայի համար ռազմավարական գործընկեր է: Հյուրը եւս կարեւորել է միջխորհրդարանական համագործակցության խորացումը, բարեկամական խմբերի փոխայցերը: Նա տեղեկացրել է, որ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի խորհրդարանում վերաձեւավորվել է Հայաստանի հետ բարեկամական խումբը, որի ղեկավար է ընտրվել Հայաստանի բարեկամ Ջեսիկա Մորդենը:
Երկու երկրների միջեւ հարաբերությունների խորացման համատեքստում զրուցակիցները կարեւորել են նաեւ «Բրիտանական ավիաուղիների» վերաբացումը:
