Մերձավոր Արևելքում գրեթե ամեն օր տեղի են ունենում նշանակալի փոփոխություններ ու զարգացումներ, և Իրանում դա լավագույնս գիտակցում են՝ փորձելով վերադասավորվել և օգտագործել այս հարափոփոխության ընձեռելիք հնարավորությունները։ Այս մասին գրում է իրանագետ Վարդան Ոսկանյանը:

«Թեհրանից մինչև Սիրիայի միջերկրածովյան ափ ուղիղ գծով մոտ 1400 կիլոմետր է։

Չնայած սրան, Սիրիայից Իրանի ելքը հենց իրանցիների կողմից գնահատվում է անհաջողություն, որովհետև Թեհրանում շատ լավ գիտակցում են, որ Մերձավոր Արևելքի արևի տակ, եթե ցանկանում ես հանգիստ ապրել այդ քաղաքում, ապա պետք է ձգտել քո ռազմավարական խորքի առաջնագիծը հասցնել Իրանական սարահարթից դուրս հեռավոր միջերկրածովյան ավազան։

Հազարամյակների իրանական կայսրությունը իր պատմության ընթացքում տեսել է բազմաթիվ վայրիվերումներ, ուստի Սիրիայից ելքը ևս այս երկրում համարում են անհաջողություն, սակայն ամենևին ոչ դատավճիռ։

Հետևաբար, Իրանում արդեն իսկ քննարկվում են մի շարք սցենարներ՝ սկսած, պայմանականորեն ասած, սիրիական «Հիզբալլահի» կամ ալավիական պետականանման միավորի ստեղծումից, մինչև սեփական միջուկային ներուժի աննախադեպ ավելացում։

Աշխարհում և հատկապես Մերձավոր Արևելքում գրեթե ամեն օր տեղի են ունենում նշանակալի փոփոխություններ ու զարգացումներ, և Իրանում դա լավագույնս գիտակցում են՝ փորձելով վերադասավորվել և օգտագործել այս հարափոփոխության ընձեռելիք հնարավորությունները։ Իսկ որ դրանք բացվելու են, ոչ մի կասկած լինել չի կարող»։
