Հանրապետության նախագահ Վահագն Խաչատուրյանն ընդունել է Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրությունների նախագահի դիվանագիտական հարցերով խորհրդական Անվար Գարգաշի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը:
Ողջունելով հյուրերին նախագահ Խաչատուրյանը մասնավորապես ասել է. «Մենք բոլորս գնահատում ենք Ձեր անձնական ներդրումը Հայաստանի և Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրությունների հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման, զարգացման գործում: Կարծում եմ՝ սա նաև լավ առիթ է քննարկելու երկու երկրների հարաբերություններին առնչվող հարցեր:
Այս տարիների ընթացքում եղել են բազմաթիվ փոխադարձ այցեր, որոնք կրել են թե՛ պաշտոնական, թե՛ ոչ պաշտոնական բնույթ, մասնակցություններ տարբեր միջոցառումների, ինչպես նաև միջազգային տարբեր հարթակներում հանդիպումներ, որոնց արդյունքում ավելի ենք մոտեցել իրար: Նաև դրա ապացույցն է այն ներդրումների աճի ցուցանիշները, որոնք արձանագրվում են Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրությունների, գործարարների կողմից: Այդ զարգացումը շատ դինամիկ կերպով ընթանում է: Մեր կողմից ցանկություն կա ընդլայնելու մեր համագործակցությունը փոխադարձ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող բոլոր ոլորտներում»:
Անվար Գարգաշն իր հերթին նշել է. «Ցանկանում եմ, նախ և առաջ, փոխանցել ԱՄԷ նախագահ շեյխ Մուհամմադ Բին Զայեդ Ալ Նահյանի ողջույնները՝ ուղղված Ձեզ:
Ցանկանում եմ իմ երախտիքի խոսքը հղել Ձեզ ինձ ընդունելու համար: Մեր հարգանքը Հայաստանի Հանրապետության և հայ ժողովրդի նկատմամբ անկեղծ, բարեկամական և խորն է: Բնականաբար, երկկողմ հարաբերությունները զարգանում են, սակայն, ես նույնպես գտնում եմ, որ կան շատ ոլորտներ, որոնց զարգացման համար պետք է ջանքեր ներդնել, և մենք որպես Էմիրությունների ներկայացուցիչներ ամեն կերպ կաջակցենք այդ գաղափարի իրագործմանը»:
Հանդիպման ընթացքում անդրադարձ է կատարվել երկու երկրների միջև փոխգործակցության շարունակական ընդլայնման և զարգացման ուղղություններին և հնարավորություններին:
Կողմերը շեշտել են երկկողմ պատրաստակամությունը հնարավոր ջանքերը գործադրել տարբեր ուղղություններով՝ քաղաքական տնտեսական, առևտրաարդյունաբերական, տուրիստական և այլ ոլորտներում առկա գործակցային ներուժի լիակատար կյանքի կոչման համար:
Հանդիպման ավարտին Հայաստանի Հանրապետության հետ բարեկամական հարաբերությունների հաստատման, ամրապնդման և զարգացման, համամարդկային արժեքների պաշտպանության գործում ներդրած նշանակալի ավանդի համար նախագահն Անվար Գարգաշին հանձնել է Պատվո շքանշան, որով նա պարգևատրվել էր Հայաստանի անկախության 30-րդ տարեդարձի կապակցությամբ:
