Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի այցն ԱՄՆ սպառնում է դառնալ դավաճանական նարատիվների տարածման հերթական դրվագը։ Փաշինյանը, որ հարկատուների փողերով մասնակցում է լիովին անհեթեթ միջոցառման, արդեն երկու հանդիպում է ունեցել, երկու տեղում էլ արել հայտարարություններ, որոնց համար այլ երկրներում վաղուց հայտնված կլիներ ճաղերի ետևում։

«Save Armenia»-ի կողմից կազմակերպված ընդունելությանը նա հայտարարել է. «Եթե հարցնեք, թե որն է Հայաստանին աջակցելու ամենաարդյունավետ միջոցն ԱՄՆ տեսանկյունից, կասեմ, որ Հարավային Կովկասում խաղաղության հասնելու օրակարգն ԱՄՆ քաղաքական վերնախավի առաջնահերթությունների ցանկում ներառելը կլիներ շատ կարևոր, որովհետև իհարկե, մենք խթանում ենք ազատություններն, այդ թվում` կրոնական ազատությունը, բայց գիտեք, ես կարծում եմ` մարդկանց ազատությունները պաշտպանելու լավագույն գործիքը կայուն խաղաղությունն է, որովհետև կոնֆլիկտային միջավայրն ամենահարմար միջավայրն է մարդու բոլոր հնարավոր իրավունքները խախտելու համար»։ Փաստացի, Փաշինյանը խոստովանել է, որ իր վերջին հենարանը մնացել է ԱՄՆ իշխանությունը, որի հետ կան խնդիրներ։

Վաշինգտոնում ԱՄՆ հայ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչների հետ հանդիպմանն էլ նա ասել է, թե «իմ գնահատմամբ՝ 44-օրյայի պարտության միջով անցնելով՝ ձեռք ենք բերել անկախ, ինքնիշխան պետություն ունենալու հնարավորություն, հատկապես ձեռք ենք բերել»։

«Ես չէի ուզի նաև, որ մենք այս վերլուծությունների արդյունքում գանք այն եզրակացության, որ մեր ընկած նահատակների զոհողությունը ոչնչի մասին է եղել։ Ես համաձայն չեմ այդ դիրքորոշման հետ։ Այդ զոհողությունները Հայաստանի անկախության և ինքնիշխանության համար են եղել և հիմա պարզապես պետք է կենտրոնանանք այդ զոհողության հնարավորությունն օգտագործելու վրա։ Ընդ որում, հեշտ չի լինելու»,- նշել է Փաշինյանը։

Ի դեպ, առաջին անգամ նման խոսույթը հրապարակ է բերել հենց նրա կինը՝ Աննա Հակոբյանը՝ հայտարարելով, թե հայ զինվորները նահատակվել են հանուն ոչնչի։ Եվ այժմ կրկին այդ խոսույթը թարմացնելը վկայում է, որ Փաշինյանը միտումնավոր և ուղղորդված է անում այդպիսի դավաճանական հայտարարություններ։
