Քաղաքական փոփոխությունների հանգեցնող գրեթե բոլոր տեսակի շարժումների ընթացքում կազմակերպիչներն ու մասնակիցները բախվում են շարժման ընթացքում գաղտնիության և հրապարակայնության չափաբաժինների խնդրին: Հայաստանյան փորձը ցույց է տալիս, որ քաղաքական շարժումների ընթացքում դրանք նախաձեռնողները հիմնականում առաջնորդվում են ներկուլիսային պայմանավորվածություններով, իրենց գործողություններում հաշվետու չեն լինում իրենց համակիրներին և այլն: Որպես ասվածի ապացույց, թերևս, կարելի է հիշել տխրահռչակ «բուրժուադեմոկրատական հեղափոխության» առաջնորդներից մեկի՝ թևավոր խոսք դարձած «Զսպե՛ք դրան» արտահայտությունը: Շարժումների ընթացքում գաղտնիության խնդիրն իրականում զգալի խոչընդոտների կարող է հանգեցնել, մինչև անգամ տարալուծելով դիմադրության ալիքը: 
Խաղաղ անհնազանդության շարժման պարագայում գաղտնիության և հրապարակայնության սահմաններն առավել քան մնացած շարժումների պարագայում զգալի ազդեցություն են ունենում շարժման ընթացքի և վերջնարդյունքի վրա: Ինչպես արդեն նշել ենք, խաղաղ անհնազանդության արդյունավետության կարևորագույն նախապայմաններից մեկը շարժման մասնակիցների կողմից դրսևորվող կարգապահության բարձր աստիճանն է, սակայն կարգապահություն ասելով բնավ նկատի չունենք շարժման ղեկավարության կողմից անհասկանալի հրամաններին հլու հնազանդ ենթարկվածություն: Խաղաղ պայքարի սկզբունքներով առաջնորդվող շարժումների համար դավադրությունների տեսության մակարդակին հասնող գաղտնիությունը լուրջ խնդիրներ է առաջացնում: Ներկայիս տեխնոլոգիական զարգացածության պայմաններում, գործնականում գրեթե անհնար է ոստիկանությունից և հետախուզական ծառայություններից գաղտնի պահել շարժման ռազմավարական և մարտավարական մանրամասները: Ուստի, շարժման ղեկավարության կողմից դրանք իրենց շահառուներից գաղտնի պահելը պայմանավորված չէ վերոգրյալ ծառայություններից գաղտնի պահելու վախով: Նմանատիպ գործելակերպը վախի մթնոլորտ է առաջացնում շարժման ներսում, ինչն էլ թուլացնում է դիմադրության ոգին և նվազեցնում է շարժման հնարավոր մասնակիցների քանակը: Գաղտնիության նմանատիպ մակարդակը կարող է շարժման մասնակիցների շրջանում տարատեսակ սուբյեկտիվ կասկածներ հարուցել միմյանց նկատմամբ, ինչն էլ շարժման պառակտման հիմք կարող է հանդիսանալ: Վերոգրյալի հետևանքը կարող է լինել այն, որ դիմադրության շարժումը կկորցնի իր խաղաղ բնույթը: Բացի վերոգրյալ բացասական հետևանքները, շարժման ընթացքում գաղտնիության բարձր աստիճանն օբյեկտիվ պայմաններ է ստեղծում շարժման ուղղահայաց կառավարման համար: Ուղղահայաց կառավարվող շարժումներին մեր իրականության մեջ բազմիցս ականատես ենք եղել և ծանոթ ենք նաև դրանց հետևանքներին:
