«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Նախօրեին ԱՄՆ Պետդեպարտամենտը մտահոգություն է արտահայտել Վրաստանում «հակաժողովրդավարական գործողությունների շարունակմամբ և սրմամբ, այդ թվում՝ քաղաքական ընդդիմության ներկայացուցիչների կալանավորմամբ և քաղաքացիական հասարակության, այդ թվում՝ կառավարության գործողությունները քննադատող անձանց նկատմամբ նպատակային հետապնդմամբ»։

Թե ինչ է կատարվում Վրաստանում, այդ երկրի ներքին գործն է, մենք մեր խնդիրներից էլ ենք «մինչև կոկորդներս կուշտ»: Սակայն հարցն այն է, որ կարդալով ԱՄՆ Պետդեպի գնահատականներն ու ձևակերպումները՝ այնպիսի տպավորություն ես ստանում, թե առանց տառ ու ստորակետ փոխելու Հայաստանի մասին է խոսքը: Բայց չէ, ԱՄՆ Պետդեպարտամետը լուռ է, երբ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի իշխանությունը շարունակում ու խորացնում է հակաժողովրդավարական գործողությունները, քաղաքական ընդդիմության ներկայացուցիչներին ձերբակալում ու կալանավորում է սարքովի «գործերով», իշխանություններին քննադատողներին նպատակային հետապնդման է ենթարկում, երբ սեփականություն է խլում և այլն, և այլն:

Ի՞նչ է ստացվում. եթե Վրաստանում ընդդիմությունը արևմտամետ է, ուրեմն Վրաստանի իշխանությունների գործողությունները դատապարտելի են, իսկ եթե Հայաստանում իշխանություններն են արևմտյան «թել թելում», իսկ ընդդիմության ներկայացուցիչները հայամետ են, պետականության ու ազգային դիրքերում են, ուրեմն, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի ռեպրեսիվ գործողությունների վրա կարելի է աչք փակել: Նույնը վերաբերում է նաև եվրոպական երկրներին ու կառույցներին: Ճիշտ է, կան տեղեկություններ, որ ԵՄ առանձին երկրներ իրենց դեսպանների միջոցով «ներքին կարգով» որոշ անհանգստություններ հայտնել են, բայց հրապարակային որևէ խոսք չի լսվել: Սրա պատճառով էլ հայաստանյան հասարակության մեջ խորանում է անվստահությունը Արևմուտքի նկատմամբ, քանզի ակնհայտ կիրառվում են երկակի ստանդարտներ:

Հ.Գ.-Իհարկե, կլինեն կարծիքներ, թե Հայաստանում քրեական վարույթներ կան նախաձեռնված, ձայնագրություններ, «պլան», բանման... Բայց դե, այնպես չէ, որ Վրաստանում ուղղակի առավոտ արթնացել ու որոշել էին ձերբակալել...
