Միքայել և Բագրատ սրբազանների դեմ քրեական գործ կարելու գործողությունն այնքան էլ հարթ չի ընթանում։ Գործող իշխանություններին որևէ կերպ չի հաջողվում սրբազանների դեմ լուրջ ապացույցներ հայտնաբերել, Քննչական կոմիտեում և իրավապահ մյուս մարմիններում էլ շատ աշխատողներ հրաժարվում են կատարել գործող իշխանությունների կեղտոտ հրահանգները։ Հասկանալով, որ վաղ թե ուշ պատասխան են տալու՝ Փաշինյանն էլ հանրությանը կրկին համոզելու խնդիր է դրել իր առջև, և երեկ Հանրային հեռուստաընկերություն է ուղարկել Քննչական կոմիտեի նախագահ Արթուր Պողոսյանին, ով ուռճացնելով իրենց ձեռքում առկա տեղեկությունները, փորձում էր տպավորություն ստեղծել, թե գրեթե Քենեդու սպանության մակարդակի գործ են բացահայտել։

Ըստ Պողոսյանի, հանցավոր խմբի անդամները պլանավորել էին իրենց գործողությունները, որպեսզի երկրում ստեղծեին անկառավարելի քաոս։ Բագրատ արքեպիսկոպոսին անվանելով ահաբեկչական խմբի ղեկավար՝ Քննչական կոմիտեի նախագահը  պնդել է նաև, որ Շիրակի թեմի առաջնորդ Միքայել արքեպիսկոպոս Աջապահյանի գործն անմիջապես առնչվում է այդ խմբի վարույթին։ Անգամ առգրավել են Միքայել Աջապահյանի օրագիրը, որի գրառումներն իբր վկայում են Գալստանյանի հետ տևական կապի, կոմունիկացիայի և իշխանազավթման ծրագրերի քննարկման մասին։

Քննչական կոմիտեի նախագահը հայտարարել է, թե ծավալների և սուբյեկտների առումով սա աննախադեպ հանցագործություն էր, որը բացահայտել են։ Այս կերպ Հայաստանի իրավապահ համակարգը փորձում է ընդամենը տպավորություն ստեղծել, թե ինչ-որ լուրջ գործ են կարողացել անել իրականում, սակայն Քննչական կոմիտեում գործն արդեն փլուզված է, որևէ լուրջ փաստարկ չունեն, Փաշինյանն էլ, թերևս միայն իր ֆրանսիացի գործընկերոջն է կարողացել համոզել, որ թե Հայաստանում ժողովրդավարության դեմ ապակայունացնող գործողություններ է կանխել։

Վաղ թե ուշ, սրբազանների դեմ քրեական գործ կարող բոլոր անձինք կանգնելու են դատարանի առջև և օրենքով պատասխանատվություն են կրելու։
