Գորիսում տեղի ունեցած «ՔՊ» քաղաքական հավաքից հետո Փաշինյանը կոնկրետ որոշում է կայացրել ազատվել իր մի քանի կուսակիցներից, նրանց հեռացնել պետական պաշտոններից, փոխարենը դնել այնպիսի մարդկանց, որոնք ավելի լավ են կարողանում վերահսկողություն իրականացնել իրենց գերատեսչություններում և կառույցներում։ Առաջին «ծիծեռնակը» Շրջակա միջավայրի նախարար Հակոբ Սիմիդյանն էր։ Մամուլը երեկ հայտնեց, որ Սիմիդյանը հրաժարական է ներկայացնելու, իսկ նրան այդ պաշտոնում փոխարինելու է նախկին փոխվարչապետ, ներկայումս Փաշինյանի խորհրդական աշխատող Համբարձում Մաթևոսյանը։

Շրջակա միջավայրի նախարարի պաշտոնում Սիմիդյանի պաշտոնավարման վերաբերյալ դժգոհություններ ՔՊ-ում միշտ էլ եղել են։ Ընդհուպ տարբեր խոսակցություններ են շրջանառվում նախարարի ոչ ադեկվատ պահվածքի վերաբերյալ։ Բայց Սիմիդյանին փրկում էր այն հանգամանքը, որ ընտանյոք հանդերձ չափազանց մոտ են Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հետ։

Նույնիսկ ընդհատակում գտնված ժամանակ Փաշինյանը ամիսներ շարունակ բնակվել է հենց Սիմիդյանի առանձնատանը։ Իշխանափոխությունից հետո Սիմիդյանը շատ արագ կարիերա արեց, նախ դարձավ պետական ամառանոցների տնօրենը, ապա խորհրդարանում «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» խմբակցության քարտուղարներ։ Իսկ 2021 թ․ից հետո նշանակվեց շրջակա միջավայրի նախարար։ Թե ինչ արդյունքներ է ցույց տվել Շրջակա միջավայրի նախարարությունը նրա պաշտոնավարման օրոք, պատմելու կարիք չկա, յուրաքանչյուրն էլ տեսնում է և հասկանում է։

Ընդ որում, Սիմիդյանը միակը չէ, որ հրաժեշտ է տալու իր պաշտոնին։ Փաշինյանը մի քանիսին էլ աչքի տակ է առել և ցանկանում է ազատվել նրանց ներկայությունից, նախընտրում բերել այնպիսի մարդկանց, որոնք կկարողանան իրենց բռի մեջ պահել իրենց հաստատությունները և խորհրդարանական առաջիկա ընտրություններին ընդառաջ ինչ-որ չափով օգտակար լինել։ Ի դեպ, մեր աղբյուրների փոխանցմամբ, պաշտոնյաներին ոչ թե ոչ միայն հեռացնելու են, այլ նաև քրեական գործեր են հարուցելու կատարած ապօրինությունների համար։ Փաշինյանը նաև ցանկանում է հանրությանը ցույց տալ, որ պատժում է իր թիմում ծվարած կոռուպցիոներներին։
