«Ռոյթերս» գործակալության տվյալներով, ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի վարչակազմի հետ ակտիվ քննարկումներ են անցկացվում, որպեսզի Ադրբեջանն ու Կենտրոնական Ասիայի որոշ դաշնակիցներ միանան Աբրահամյան համաձայնագրերին։ Հեղինակավոր գործակալությունը հղում է անում միանգամից հինգ քաջատեղյակ աղբյուրների և նշում, որ Աբրահամի համաձայնագրին միանալու համար Վաշինգտոնը նախապայման է դնում Ադրբեջանի առաջ, պահանջելով նախ կարգավորել հարաբերությունները Հայաստանի հետ։

Ըստ աղբյուրների, այդ հարցը քննարկվել է Թրամփի հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Սթիվ Ուիթքոֆի՝ մարտին Բաքու կատարած այցի ժամանակ։ Այնուհետև Ուիթքոֆի օգնականն է հանդիպել Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևի հետ։ Աբրահամյան համաձայնագրերը ստորագրվել են Թրամփի պաշտոնավարման առաջին շրջանում՝ 2020 թ․-ին, Իսրայելի և չորս արաբական երկրների միջև դիվանագիտական հարաբերություններ հաստատելու համար։

Այժմ իսրայելյան համաձայնագրերը դարձել են ակնհայտ իսրայելամետ նախաձեռնություն և ուղղված են ոչ միայն տարածաշրջանում Իսրայելի թշնամիների, այլև առաջին հերթին, հենց Իրանի դեմ։ Եվ այժմ Միացյալ Նահանգները ցանկանում է իր Աբրահամյան համաձայնագրերին նաև ներգրավել նաև Հայաստանին ու Ադրբեջանին։

Մի կողմից սա Ադրբեջանի համար լուրջ հնարավորություն է դառնալու բարելավել իր միջազգային դիրքը, նոր զիջումներ կորզել Միացյալ Նահանգներից ու Արևմուտքից, հատկապես Հայաստանի դեմ, օրինակ, այսպես կոչված, «Զանգեզուրի միջանցքի» բացման հարցով։

Մյուս կողմից՝ Աբրահամյան համաձայնագրերին Հայաստանի անդամակցությունը թշնամական ակտ է դառնալու ուղղված հարավային հարևան Իրանի դեմ։ Բնական է, որ Իրանը, որը հատկապես վերջին շրջանում մի քանի կոշտ զգուշացումներ է արել թե՛ Հայաստանին, թե՛ Ադրբեջանին, ամենևին էլ հակված չէ հանդուրժել նման զարգացումները։ Թե ինչով են մտածում Հայաստանի իշխանությունները, բարդ է ասել։
