Մհեր Ավետիսյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրել է․ 

Նորից եմ ուզում կրկնել. մեր տարածաշրջանում Հայաստանից հետո ամենից շատ խաղաղություն ուզում է Ռուսաստանը, և Ռուսաստանի համար մեր ռեգիոնալ խաղաղությունը կարևոր է այնքան, որ նախագահ Պուտինին միևնույն է՝ այդ խաղաղությունը կհաստատվի ռուսական պլատֆորմում, Միացյալ Նահանգների պլատֆորմում, թե չինական պլատֆորմում, միայն թե լինի խաղաղություն։ Այլ հարց է, որ ոչ թե Ռուսաստանի կամ նախագահ Պուտինի մեղքով, այլ գեոպոլիտիկ և պատմական իրողությունների առկայության պարագայում, հնարավոր է խաղաղության հասնել մեր ռեգիոնում միայն Ռուսաստանի անվտանգության ճարտարապետության ներքո, և դրանում Ռուսաստանը որևէ մեղք չունի, որ մեր տարածաշրջանի պատմությունն ու գեոպոլիտիկ իրականությունը այսպիսին է։

Այո՛, Ռուսաստանը ողջունելու է ցանկացած ձևաչափով խաղաղությանն ուղղված բանակցություններն ու գործընթացները, բայց մենք՝ հայերս, պետք է փորձենք հասկանալ՝ այն, ինչ անում ենք, իսկապես տանում է խաղաղության, թե դրանք ուղղակի իմիտացիաներ են, որպեսզի Հայաստանը դարձնեն գեոպոլիտիկ շահարկումների և առևտրի առարկա…

Եվ դարձյալ ուզում եմ կրկնել. մենք պետք է հստակ վերլուծենք և հասկանանք, թե ո՛րն է Միացյալ Նահանգների շահը այն ամենում, ինչ այսօր տեղի է ունենում Հայաստանում և Հայաստանի շուրջ, ինչ է ուզում Միացյալ Նահանգները Հայաստանից և մեր տարածաշրջանից։ Եվ դարձյալ ուզում եմ խնդրել, որ լուրջ վերլուծաբաններն ու քաղաքագետները, այս հարցին անդրադառնալիս, չներկայացնեն տեսակետ, թե իբր այս ամենը Միացյալ Նահանգներն անում է, որովհետև շատ են սիրում հայերիս, որովհետև իսկապես ուզում են, որ մեզանում լինի խաղաղություն, որովհետև Թրամփն այս ամենն անում է, որպեսզի ստանա Նոբելյան մրցանակ, կամ՝ առհասարակ, Թրամփը այս ամենն անում է, որովհետև իրեն լավ չի զգում, երբ մարդիկ են մահանում։
