Հայաստանի Հանրապետությանը սպառնում է Մոլդովայի օրինակը։ Հիշեցնենք՝ խորհրդարանական ընտրություններից առաջ Մոլդովայի նախագահ Մայա Սանդուն արգելեց մի քանի կուսակցություն, իսկ բուն քվեարկության օրը արգելվեցին ռուսամետ չորս քաղաքական ուժեր։ Նրանց տրված ձայները ընդհանրապես չհաշվարկվեցին։ Արդյունքում Մայա Սանդուին հաջողվեց զավթել խորհրդարանը, իսկ Արևմուտքը՝ հաշվի առնելով, որ Սանդուն հանդես էր գալիս եվրոպամետ դիրքերից, աչք փակեց բոլոր աղաղակող ապօրինությունների վրա։
Ըստ ամենայնի՝ Հայաստանի գործող իշխանությունները՝ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի գլխավորությամբ, լավ են սերտել մոլդովական դասերը և ցանկանում են նույնը կրկնել Հայաստանում։ Մոլդովայի օրինակի մասին օրերս հայտնել էր երկրորդ նախագահ Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանը՝ հայտարարելով, որ այսօր երկու քաղաքական ուժ ավելի շատ ձայներ ունեն, քան Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիրը»։ Ըստ Քոչարյանի՝ այդ ուժերից մեկը «Հայաստան» դաշինքն է, իսկ մյուսը՝ Սամվել Կարապետյանի ստեղծվող կուսակցությունը։
Նմանատիպ դիտարկումներ ունի նաև «Լուսավոր Հայաստան» կուսակցության ղեկավար Էդմոն Մարուքյանը։ Նրա խոսքով՝ ուսումնասիրությունները ցույց են տալիս, որ առաջին երկու տեղերում հայտնված ընդդիմադիր ուժերը՝ Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանը և Սամվել Կարապետյանը, միասին կարողանում են հավաքել այնքան ձայն, որն անցնում է Փաշինյանի ստացած ձայներին։ Ըստ Մարուքյանի՝ Փաշինյանն էլ ունի այս ուսումնասիրությունները և հրաշալի գիտի, որ օրինական եղանակներով հաղթել ի վիճակի չէ։
Արդյունքում Մարուքյանը փաստում է, որ գործող իշխանությունները մտադիր են Մոլդովայի օրինակը կիրառել։ Ըստ ամենայնի՝ Փաշինյանը հենց այդպես էլ վարվելու է՝ օգտվելով Արևմուտքի աջակցությունից՝ ոչ միայն ֆինանսական, այլև քաղաքական։ Նա փորձելու է փակել ընդդիմադիր կուսակցությունները, մի քանիսին թույլ չտալ գրանցվել, որոշների դեմ էլ իրականացնել բռնաճնշումներ՝ թույլ չտալով քարոզարշավ իրականացնել։
