Մհեր Ավետիսյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.
Հայաստանի 2-րդ Հանրապետությունը քննադատողներին և Հայաստանի սովետական անցյալը ամեն գնով վատաբանողներին ուզում եմ հիշեցնել, որ Էրեբունի–Երևան տոնակատարությունը ևս հիմնադրվել է հենց Հայաստանի 2-րդ Հանրապետության տարիներին, և առաջին անգամ այս տոնը նշվել է 1968 թվականին։
Ի ուրախություն մեզ՝ այն մինչև այսօր շարունակում ենք նշել, քանզի այո՛ — Երևանը բոլոր հայերիս սրտի մայրաքաղաքն է։
Համենայն դեպս՝ այդպես պետք է լինի։ Պետք է հիշենք մի պարզ ճշմարտություն․ սեփական անցյալը մերժող
և սեփական անցյալի հետ կռիվ տվող ժողովուրդները՝ որպես կանոն, չեն կարող կերտել լավ ապագա։
Եվ հաճախ՝ ընդհանրապես ապագա չեն կարող ունենալ։
Շնորհավոր տո՛նդ, մեր Երևան։ Ապրիր հավերժ, զարգացի՛ր, գեղեցկացի՛ր և դարձիր իսկապես անվտանգ, բարեկեցիկ և արդար Հայաստանի, ինչպես նաև համայն հայ ժողովրդի սրտի մայրաքաղաքը։
