Հովհաննավանքում կատարվածը Վեհարանի գրոհի նախերգանքն էր

Հովհաննավանքում երեկ տեղի ունեցած միջադեպը, երբ կարգալույծ հռչակված Ստեփան Ասատրյանը (նախկինում՝ Տեր Արամ), իշխանությունների գործուն աջակցությամբ փորձում էր սադրանք հրահրել՝ նախ ապօրինի պսակ իրականացնելով, ապա և կողմնակիցների հետ հարձակումներ գործելով թե՛ լրագրողների, թե՛ Արագածոտնի թեմի քահանաների վրա՝ հրաժարվելով կատարել Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսի պահանջը, հերթական անգամ վկայում է, որ գործող իշխանությունները չափազանց լուրջ են տրամադրված Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու դեմ իրենց պայքարում, ընդ որում՝ այդ պայքարը վաղուց դուրս է եկել քաղաքական և իրավական սահմաններից և առաջին հերթին ուղղված է հայոց արժեքների դեմ։
Հովհաննավանքում կատարվածը նախերգանքն էր, գլխավոր փորձը՝ հիմնական գրոհից առաջ։ Իսկ արդեն կիրակի օրը Փաշինյանը անձամբ է լինելու Հովհաննավանքում՝ մասնակցելու կարգալույծ քահանայի մատուցած պատարագին։ Մամուլում տեղեկություններ են շրջանառվում, որ Փաշինյանը ամեն գնով ցանկանում է մինչև նոյեմբերի սկիզբը հեռացնել Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսին։ Մեր տեղեկություններով՝ նա արդեն բանագնացի միջոցով իր պահանջները ներկայացրել է Մայր Աթոռին՝ հայտարարելով, թե բազմաթիվ հոգևորականների դեմ կոմպրոմատներ ունի և պատրաստ է առանց բացառության դրանք հրապարակել, եթե Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը չկատարի իր պահանջը։
Հոկտեմբերի 27-ին, հիշեցնենք, լրանում է Գարեգին Բ կաթողիկոսի ընտրության 26-րդ ամյակը, նոյեմբերի 4-ին էլ՝ 26 տարի առաջ, Գարեգին Բ-ն օծվեց որպես Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոս, և վերջնաժամկետ Փաշինյանը նշանակել է հենց նոյեմբերի 4-ը։ Հայտնի չէ դեռևս, թե ի՞նչ կանի Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցին, պատրա՞ստ է արդյոք ընդունել այս մարտահրավերը և գնալ մինչև վերջ։ Բայց որ Փաշինյանի տրամադրվածությունը վճռական է և ինչ-որ արտաքին կողմից ուղղորդվող՝ կասկած չի հարուցում։
