Նարեկ Կարապետյանն իր ելույթում շեշտել է, որ ութ տարի առաջ երկրում ղեկավար դարձավ մի մարդ, որը տվել է բազմաթիվ խոստումներ, բայց չի կատարել դրանք։
«Աղքատությունը ութ տարում մեր հարևան երկրները երկու անգամ նվազեցրել են»,- նկատել է Նարեկ Կարապետյանը ու շարունակել. «Հիմա` հինգ տարի հետո, էլի է խոսք տալիս։ Հիմա էլ խոսք է տալիս, ասում է՝ խաղաղություն է լինելու։ Բան կա՞ր, որ խոսք տվեց ու արեց, ժողովուրդ ջան։ Ո՛չ»։
Նարեկ Կարապետյանի խոսքով, գործող իշխանությունները յուրաքանչյուր ընտանիքի ուսերին պարտքի բեռը տարեցտարի ավելացնում են։
« 1.7 միլիարդ դոլար վարկ է վերցրել։ Որպեսզի հասկանաք՝ դա ինչքան է՝ այդ 1.7 միլիարդը, Հայաստանի անկախության առաջին 16 տարում 1.6 միլիարդ դոլար էր վարկը։ 16 տարում այնքան վարկ չեն վերցրել, ինչքան այս ղեկավարը մել տարում։ Ի՞նչ է սա նշանակում. որ ինչ խոսք են տալիս՝ չեն անում։ Մեզ պետք է մարդ, որ սովոր չէ խաբելու։ Երկու անգամ շանսը տրվել է, ժողովուրդ ջան։ Չեմ կարծում, որ մեր ժողովուրդը պետք է երրորդ շանսը տա նույն մարդուն։ 1.7 միլիարդով, որ իրենք պարտք են վերցրել, կարելի էր Հայաստանում ապահովել 80,000 նոր աշխատատեղ», - եզրափակել է Նարեկ Կարապետյանը:
