 Այն, ինչ տեղի է ունենում խորհրդարանում, պրիմիտիվ վախի դրսևորում է։ Վերջերս տեսնում ենք, որ  գործադիր իշխանության ղեկավարը հաճախ խոսում է ուժեղ տղերքի մասին։ Բա ուժեղ տղերքն արդյո՞ք քաղաքական հայտ ներկայացնելուց մի քանի օր առաջ հատուկ, հրատապ կերպով ընտրական օրենսգրքի փոփոխություն են անում զուտ «Սամվել Կարապետյան» անուն-ազգանունը չօգտագործելու համար։ Բա սա արդյո՞ք ուժեղ իշխանության դիրքն է, կարծում եմ՝ սոցիոլոգիական հարցումներն ու ողջամիտ տրամաբանությունը կհուշեն, որ սա վախեցած իշխանության վարքագիծ է, նույնիսկ՝ շատ վախեցած։ Այս մասին ԱԺ շենքի դիմաց հրատապ ասուլիսում հայտարարեց Արամ Վարդևանյանը։ 

Փաստաբանը հիշեցրեց վախի դրսևորումը, երբ Կարապետյանի նկատմամբ ապօրինի հետապնդում է հարուցվել՝ եկեղեցու պաշտպանության համար, իսկ այսօր  արդեն խոսում են նրա մասին, որ Սամվել Կարապետյան անձնանունը չի կարող օգտագործվել դաշինքի անվանման մեջ, սա ամենամեծ վախի դրսևորումն է։ Փաստաբանն ընդգծեց, որ այն աստիճան ապօրինություն է տեղի ունենում, որի նախադեպը չի եղել։ 
«Պայքարել անվանման դեմ՝ նորարարություն է։ Շատ են խոսում եվրոպական փորձի մասին, ես եվրոպական որևէ երկիր չեմ պատկերացնում, որ ԿԸՀ համապատասխան հայտերը ներկայացնելուց ժամեր առաջ ընտրական օրենսգրքի նման սուբստանտիվ փոփոխություն ներկայացվի։ Վենետիկի հանձնաժողովը նման վարքագիծն արգելում է, այլ հարց է, որ ՀՀ իշխանություններն, ամեն օր խոսելով եվրոպական արժեքների մասին, կիլոմետրերով հեռանում են այդ արժեքներից։ Ի դեպ, օրինակ, Վենետիկի հանձնաժողովի կանոններն այս կերպ կարող են մեկնաբանել մեր հարևան երկրներից, օրինակ, Ադրբեջանում, գուցե հենց որպես լավագույն փորձ այդտեղից էլ վերցնում են օրինակը»,-հայտարարեց Արամ Վարդևանյանն՝ ընդգծելով, որ սա ընտրական համակարգի հավասարության խաթարում է։

«Այս պահին լծակներ ունեն, բանեցնում են, բայց սա խոսում է մի բանի մասին, որ փոփոխությունները գալիս են։ Փոփոխությունները գալիս են Սամվել Կարապետյանի հետ, փոփոխությունները գալիս են «Ուժեղ Հայաստան» դաշինքի հետ, անձնանունից կվախենան, թե ոչ՝ քավ լիցի»,-ասաց Վարդևանյանը։

Հիշեցնենք, որ ՔՊ-ական պատգամավորներ Արուսյակ Ջուլհակյանն ու Ալխաս Ղազարյանը շրջանառության մեջ են դրել օրենքի նախագիծ՝ Ընտրական օրենսգիրք սահմանադրական օրենքում փոփոխությունների վերաբերյալ։ Մասնավորապես, առաջարկվում է փոփոխություններով սահմանել, որ կուսակցությունների դաշինքի անվանումը չի կարող պարունակել անձնանուն, պետական և տեղական ինքնակառավարման մարմինների անուններ կամ դրանց շփոթելու աստիճան նման անվանումներ կամ դրանց հոլովաձևեր։
