Ֆրանսիական Peugeot ավտոարտադրողը ներկայացրել է երկու նոր ֆուտուրիստական կոնցեպտ՝ Concept 6 եւ Concept 8, որոնք, ըստ լրագրողների, կարող են ակնարկել 508-ի հաջորդի եւ ապրանքանիշի նոր դրոշակակիր քրոսովերի ապագա զարգացման մասին, տեղեկացրել է Autocar-ը։
Երկու մեքենաներն էլ ներկայացվել են որպես Peugeot-ի նոր դիզայնի եւ տեխնոլոգիաների ցուցադրություն, որոնք ընկերությունը նախատեսում է աստիճանաբար ներդնել սերիական արտադրությունում։
Ամենամեծ ուշադրության արժանացել է Concept 6-ը։ Այն առանձնանում է թափքի անսովոր ոճով, որը համատեղում է սպորտային լիֆթբեքի, station wagon-ի եւ այսպես կոչված «shooting brake»-ի՝ կտրուկ թեք տանիքով սպորտային wagon-ի առանձնահատկությունները։ Մեքենան շատ ցածր եւ լայն տեսք ունի. նրա երկար կապոտը, նեղ LED լուսարձակները, անիվների հսկայական կամարները եւ կտրուկ սահմանված թափքի գծերը այն նմանեցնում են սուպերմեքենայի կոնցեպտի, այլ ոչ թե սովորական ընտանեկան մեքենայի։
Երկրորդ կոնցեպտը՝ Concept 8-ը, մեծ էլեկտրական քրոսովեր է, որը կարող է դառնալ ապրանքանիշի նոր դրոշակակիրը՝ ներկայիս Peugeot 5008-ից հետո։ Մեքենան ունի ավելի ագրեսիվ տեսք՝ գրեթե ամբողջությամբ փակ առջեւի մաս, նուրբ լուսավորություն եւ շատ մեծ թափք՝ արտահայտված մոնոլիտ ձեւերով։
Առանձնահատուկ հետաքրքրություն է ներկայացնում տանիքին տեղադրված լազերային սքանավորման համակարգը կամ լիդարը։ Նմանատիպ տեխնոլոգիաները սովորաբար օգտագործվում են կիսաավտոմատ վարման համակարգերում եւ թույլ են տալիս մեքենային ստեղծել շրջակայքի մանրամասն եռաչափ քարտեզ։ Կոնցեպտի վրա լիդարի առկայությունը կարող է ցույց տալ, որ Peugeot-ն ակտիվորեն պատրաստվում է ներդնել ավելի առաջադեմ էլեկտրոնային օժանդակ համակարգեր։
Երկու մեքենաներն էլ շարունակում են զարգացնել ապրանքանիշի նոր ոճը։ Վերջին տարիներին Peugeot-ն ակտիվորեն օգտագործում է եռակի LED շերտերը, որոնք հիշեցնում են ճանկերի հետքեր, ինչպես նաեւ սուր եզրերով բարդ երկրաչափական թափքի մակերեսները։ Որոշ մեկնաբաններ արդեն համեմատում են նոր կոնցեպտները Audi-ի եւ Hyundai-ի դիզայնի փորձերի հետ՝ նշելով, որ Peugeot-ն աստիճանաբար դառնում է զանգվածային հատվածի ամենահամարձակ արտադրողներից մեկը։
Բացի այդ, ընկերությունը շարունակում է մշակել անսովոր լուծումներ մեքենայի ինտերիերի համար։
