«Միասնություն» շարժման ղեկավար Արման Վարդանյանը իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրում է.
Մայիսի 9-ը սրբազան օր է՝ Մեծ Հաղթանակի, հիշողության, հերոսության և ժողովուրդների միասնական ուժի խորհրդանիշը, որոնք միլիոնավոր զոհերի գնով կարողացան կանգնեցնել նացիզմը և փրկել աշխարհը կործանումից։
Առանձնահատուկ հպարտությամբ ենք խոսում հայ ժողովրդի ներդրման մասին այդ Հաղթանակում։
Չնայած մեր ժողովրդի փոքր թվաքանակին՝ տարբեր գնահատականներով հայերը Խորհրդային Միությունում առաջատարներից էին Խորհրդային Միության հերոսների և բարձրագույն զինվորական կոչումներ ունեցողների թվով՝ բնակչության համեմատությամբ։ Սա դարձավ հայ ժողովրդի աննկուն կամքի, խիզախության և անձնազոհության վառ ապացույցը։
Ավելի քան 500 հազար հայ մասնակցել է Հայրենական մեծ պատերազմին։ Նրանցից ավելի քան 200 հազարը չվերադարձան տուն՝ իրենց կյանքը զոհաբերելով հանուն Հաղթանակի։ 107 հայ արժանացել է Խորհրդային Միության հերոսի կոչման, 27-ը դարձել են Փառքի շքանշանի լիակատար ասպետներ։ Հայ ժողովուրդը Խորհրդային Միությանը տվել է նշանավոր մարշալներ, ԽՍՀՄ նավատորմի ծովակալ Հովհաննես Իսակովին և տասնյակ փառապանծ գեներալների։
Խորհրդային Միության մարշալ Հովհաննես Բաղրամյանի, զրահատանկային զորքերի գլխավոր մարշալ Համազասպ Բաբաջանյանի, ավիացիայի մարշալ Սերգեյ Խուդյակովի (Արմենակ Խանփերյանց), լեգենդար օդաչու Նելսոն Ստեփանյանի և բազմաթիվ այլ հերոսների անունները հավերժ գրվել են Մեծ Հաղթանակի պատմության մեջ՝ որպես ռազմական պատվի, քաջության և հայրենիքին նվիրվածության խորհրդանիշներ։
Մենք պարտավոր ենք պահպանել մեր պապերի և նախնիների հերոսական սխրանքի հիշատակը, փոխանցել այն գալիք սերունդներին և արժանի լինել նրանց զոհողությանը և հերոսությանը։
Այսօր, խոնարհվելով Հաղթանակ կերտած սերնդի առաջ, մենք հավատում ենք, որ հայ ժողովուրդը դեռ բազմիցս ապացուցելու է իր ուժը, արժանապատվությունն ու հաղթելու կարողությունը՝ հանուն հզոր, ինքնիշխան և արդար Հայաստանի։
