Էրդողանը սուր քննադատության է արժանացրել ԱՄՆ-ին: Նա պնդել է, որ թուրքական զորքերը միանշանակորեն չեն դադարեցնի իրենց ռմբակոծությունները, ավելին՝ էլ ավելի կխորացնեն խոցման թիրախները:
Նախօրեին Վաշինգտոնը կոչ էր արել Թուրքիային դադարեցնել միջսահմանային գնդակոծումը և ավելորդ լարվածություն չստեղծել տարածաշրջանում: Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանի մեղադրանքները հասել են նաև ՄԱԿ: Նա ՄԱԿ-ին մեղադրել է Ռուսաստանի կողմից Սիրիայում «մարդկության դեմ հանցագործություն» կատարելու փաստի վրա աչք փակելու մեջ:
Այս անգամ Էրդողանը կոպիտ է արձագանքել միջազգային հանրության կոչերին:
Նա իր բողոքն է արտահայտել նաև ԱՄՆ-ի այն քայլի վերաբերյալ, որով ԱՄՆ-ն իր աջակցությունն է բերում Սիրիայի Դեմոկրատական միություն կուսակցության (PYD) և նրա զինված թևի՝ Ժողովրդական պաշտպանության բաժիններին (YPG), որոնց Անկարան համարում Քրդստանի բանվորական կուսակցության (PKK) ճյուղեր և ահաբեկիչներ:
«Ներկայումս, ես դժվարանում է հասկանալ, թե Ամերիկան իրերն ինչու՞ իրենց անունով չի կոչում : Ավելին, դեռ շարունակում է կապ պահպանել, աջակցություն ցուցաբերել PYD-ին և YPG-ին, որոնք տարածաշրջանում հանդես են գալիս որպես ահաբեկչական կառույցներ: Դեռ մի բան էլ ԱՄՆ-ն ասում է, որ« Մեր աջակցությունը YPG-ին և PYD-ին կշարունակի » », - ասել է Էրդողանը:
ԱՄՆ-ին նաև մեղադրել է Սիրիայում ոչ թռիչքային գոտի չհայտարարելու մեջ և խոսքն ավարտել է ակնհայտ հեգնանքով ,որն ուղղված է ԱՄՆ-ին:
«O՜, Ամերիկա, Դուք չեք ասում, «այո» «ոչ թռիչքային գոտի» ռեժիմին, որպիսզի այժմ ռուսական ինքնաթիռները թռիչքներ իրականացնեն այնտեղ , որոնց պատճառով գործողությունների տասնյակ հազարավոր մարդիկ են զոհվում: Միթե՞ մենք կոլալիցիոն ուժեր չենք, միթե՞ մենք միասին չպետք է գործենք: Թույլ տվեք ասել, որ մի խառնվեք Թուրքիայի ներքին գործերին »:
