«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
«Արարատ-Արմենիա» ֆուտբոլային ակումբը դարձավ պատմության մեջ առաջին հայկական թիմը, որը կմասնակցի ՈՒԵՖԱ-ի Եվրոպա լիգայի հիմնական փուլին:
Գործարար Սամվել Կարապետյանի հիմնադրած ակումբը հաղթահարել է որակավորման փուլի արգելքները՝ ապահովելով իր տեղը եվրոպական մրցաշարի խմբային փուլում: Մինչ այժմ հայկական ոչ մի ֆուտբոլային ակումբի չէր հաջողվել դուրս գալ Եվրոպա լիգայի հիմնական փուլ, որը եվրոպական ակումբային ֆուտբոլի երկրորդ ամենակարևոր մրցաշարն է Չեմպիոնների լիգայից հետո: Սա ցույց է տալիս, որ համառ աշխատանքի, նվիրման, պատշաճ ներդրումների համադրման միջոցով հնարավոր է հասնել հաջողության:
Այս ցուցանիշի շնորհիվ «Արարատ-Արմենիան» ոչ միայն ապահովել է մասնակցությունը միջազգային մրցաշարի հիմնական փուլում, այլև ավելացնելու է Հայաստանի վարկանիշային միավորները ՈՒԵՖԱ-ի դասակարգման աղյուսակում:
Երեկ կայացավ խմբային փուլի վիճակահանությունը: Այն, մեղմ ասած, ամենավատը չէր «Արարատ-Արմենիայի» համար: Եվ այսպես, հայկական թիմը սեփական հարկի տակ ընդունելու է «ԱԶ Ալկմարին» (Նիդերլանդներ), «Սպարտային» (Չեխիա), «Ցելյեին» (Սլովենիա), ՆԵԿ-ին (Նիդերլանդներ), մրցակցի հարկի տակ խաղալու է «Միլանի» (Իտալիա), «Զալցբուրգի» (Ավստրիա), «Յագելոնիայի» (Լեհաստան), «Տորենսեի» (Պորտուգալիա) հետ:
