ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի վարչակազմը դիտարկում է Ռուսաստանից, Իրանից և Վենեսուելայից նավթ ու նավթամթերք տեղափոխող «ստվերային նավատորմի» նավերի նկատմամբ պատժամիջոցների մեղմացման հնարավորությունը։ Այս մասին Reuters-ին հայտնել են իրազեկ աղբյուրները։ Նրանց փոխանցմամբ՝ խոսքը վերաբերում է «օրինական» վառելիքի տեղափոխման թույլտվությանը, այլ ոչ թե սահմանափակումների տակ գտնվող ռուսական կամ իրանական նավթին։ Նպատակն է նվազեցնել նավավարձի դրույքաչափերը և Պարսից ծոցից դուրս բերել հում նավթի ու նավթամթերքի ավելի մեծ ծավալներ։

Reuters-ի զրուցակիցներից մեկի նշմամբ՝ այն ընկերությունները, որոնք կցանկանան օգտագործել պատժամիջոցների տակ գտնվող նավերը, պետք է թույլտվության համար դիմեն ԱՄՆ ֆինանսների նախարարություն։ Սահմանափակումների մեղմացումը «կարող է ազատել լրացուցիչ փոքրաթիվ տանկերներ՝ Հորմուզի նեղուցում մաքոքային չվերթներ իրականացնելու համար», սակայն դա հազիվ թե հանգեցնի ֆրախտի դրույքաչափերի համատարած նվազման, քանի որ ապահովագրողները նախկինի պես պարտավորված կլինեն պահպանել ԵՄ-ի և Մեծ Բրիտանիայի նորմերը, Reuters-ին հայտնել են ծովային ոլորտի աղբյուրները։ ԱՄՆ էներգետիկայի նախարարությունում հավաստիացրել են, որ «ստվերային նավատորմի» նկատմամբ պատժամիջոցների թուլացմանն ուղղված ցանկացած քայլ չի օգնի Ռուսաստանին տեղափոխել նավթ կամ նավթամթերք։

Վառելիքի բարձր գները ռիսկեր են պարունակում Թրամփի համար նոյեմբերի 3-ի միջանկյալ ընտրություններից առաջ, որոնցում հանրապետականները հույս ունեն պահպանել վերահսկողությունը Կոնգրեսի երկու պալատներում, նշում է Reuters-ը։ Ավելի վաղ Սպիտակ տան ղեկավարը չեղարկել էր ռուսական դիզելային վառելիքի դեմ պատժամիջոցները և թույլատրել դրա մատակարարումն ամերիկյան շուկա՝ մինչև ապրիլի 7-ը։ Այս քայլը քննադատության ալիք էր բարձրացրել ԱՄՆ Սենատի որոշ հանրապետականների, եվրոպական երկրների ղեկավարների և Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկու կողմից։

Այս տարվա գարնանը ԱՄՆ-ն, Իրանում ընթացող պատերազմի և Հորմուզի նեղուցի փակման ֆոնին, պատժամիջոցներից դուրս էր բերել ռուսական նավթի և նավթամթերքի մատակարարումների մի մասը։ Կրեմլում այն ժամանակ հայտարարում էին, որ առանց Ռուսաստանից նավթի «զգալի ծավալների» համաշխարհային շուկայի կայունացումը «անհնար է»։ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը պնդում էր, որ ռուսական նավթային նավատորմին վնաս հասցնելու փորձերը «կհանգեցնեն ընդհանուր խնդիրների, և առաջին հերթին՝ նրանց համար, ովքեր փորձում էին վատություն անել մեզ»։
