Կիևն ու Մոսկվան դրական են արձագանքել եռակողմ բանակցություններ անցկացնելու ԱՄՆ-ի առաջարկին։ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը վստահություն է հայտնել, որ խաղաղության համաձայնագրի ձեռքբերումը կարող է մոտ լինել։ Այս մասին տեղեկացնում է Politis օրաթերթը:

Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վոլոդիմիր Զելենսկին հայտարարել է, որ Կիևն աջակցում է ամերիկյան առաջարկին՝ տեղեկանալով, որ Կրեմլը նույնպես պատրաստ է մասնակցել բանակցություններին։

Զելենսկիի խոսքով՝ ուկրաինական կողմը տեղեկացել է, որ Ռուսաստանը համաձայն է բանակցային խմբերի մակարդակով եռակողմ հանդիպմանը, իսկ ամերիկյան կողմն առաջարկում է այն կազմակերպել հնարավորինս շուտ։ Ուկրաինան աջակցում է այդ նախաձեռնությանը։

Ուկրաինայի նախագահը նաև նշել է, որ Կիևը ցանկանում է հանդիպումն անցկացնել ոչ ուշ, քան նոյեմբերի սկիզբը։

Քննարկման հնարավոր թեմաներից են խաղաղության առաջարկները, ինչպես նաև ապագայում պետությունների ղեկավարների մասնակցությամբ գագաթնաժողովի կազմակերպումը։

Զելենսկին հայտնել է նաև ամերիկացի պաշտոնյաների հետ քննարկումների մասին, որոնք տեղի են ունեցել ԱՄՆ հատուկ բանագնաց Սթիվ Ուիթքոֆի՝ Ռուսաստան կատարած այցից հետո։ Այցի ընթացքում Ուիթքոֆը Սանկտ Պետերբուրգում հանդիպել է ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի հետ։

ԱՄՆ պաշտոնյաներից մեկը ևս հաստատել է, որ Ռուսաստանն ընդունել է Ուկրաինայի հետ եռակողմ հանդիպում անցկացնելու Վաշինգտոնի առաջարկը։

Նա լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշել է, որ վերջերս Վլադիմիր Պուտինի հետ քննարկել է Ուկրաինայի պատերազմի կարգավորման հարցը և կարծում է, որ կողմերը զգալիորեն մոտեցել են հնարավոր համաձայնությանը։

Թրամփը նաև ենթադրել է, որ խաղաղության հասնելու հնարավորությունը գուցե երբևէ այսքան իրական չի եղել։
