Վաշինգտոնն ու Իսրայելը մշակել են նոյեմբերի 3-ին ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի միջանկյալ ընտրություններից հետո Իրանին հարվածները վերսկսելու ծրագիր։ Այս մասին հայտնել է The New York Times (NYT) թերթը՝ հղում անելով աղբյուրներին, հայտնում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:

Նրանց տեղեկությունների համաձայն՝ խոսքը կարճ, բայց ինտենսիվ գործողության մասին է, որի ընթացքում կարող են հարձակման ենթարկվել Իրանի միջուկային օբյեկտները, էներգետիկ ենթակառուցվածքները, հրթիռների և անօդաչու թռչող սարքերի պահեստները։ Հարվածների կարող է ենթարկվել նաև իբր Քոլանգ-Գազ-Լա լեռան տակ թաքցված միջուկային օբյեկտը, պնդում է պարբերականը։ Միևնույն ժամանակ, որոշ պաշտոնյաներ թերթին հայտնել են, որ թիրախներ ընտրելիս ԱՄՆ-ը կխուսափի իրանական նավթավերամշակման գործարաններից, քանի որ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը վախենում է բենզինի գների էլ ավելի մեծ աճից։

ԱՄՆ նախագահը դեռ որոշում չի կայացրել միջանկյալ ընտրություններից հետո մարտական գործողությունները վերսկսելու մասին, նշում է NYT-ն։ Նրա տվյալներով՝ փոքր հավանականություն կա, որ Թրամփը կկարգադրի հարձակումները սկսել արդեն հոկտեմբերին։ Ինչպես կարծում է թերթը, բոլոր հիմքերը կան կասկածամտորեն վերաբերվելու այն սպասումներին, թե մարտական գործողությունների վերսկսումը ԱՄՆ-ին և Իսրայելին ավելի մեծ հաջողություն կբերի, քան փետրվարից ապրիլ ընկած ժամանակահատվածի ռմբակոծությունները։ Դրանք հանգեցրել են ողջ աշխարհում էներգակիրների գների աճի և ինֆլյացիայի, խաթարել են անվտանգությունը Մերձավոր Արևելքում և լրջորեն սպառել զավթիչ-հրթիռների ամերիկյան արսենալը, եզրափակել է պարբերականը։
