Հայաստանում կանայք 35,9 տոկոսով ավելի քիչ աշխատավարձ են ստանում, քան տղամարդիկ: Այս մասին լրագրողների հետ զրույցում հայտարարեց ՄԱԿ-ի Բնակչության հիմնադրամի հայաստանյան գրասենյակի գործադիր տնօրեն Գարիկ Հայրապետյանը՝ ներկայացնելով ՄԱԿ-ի Բնակչության հիմնադրամի կողմից իրականացված Կանանց նկատմամբ խտրական դրսևորումների ախտորոշիչ ուսումնասիրությունը:
«Եթե համեմատենք, ապա Արևմտյան Եվրոպայի և Կենտրոնական Սսիայի երկրների հետ շարքում Հայաստանը զբաղեցնում է երրորդ տեղը Վրաստանից և Ղազախստանից հետո: Վրաստանում այդ ցուցանիշը՝ 51,1, իսկ Ղազախստանում 38 տոկոս է»,- պարզաբանեց Հայրապետյանը՝ շեշտելով, որ Եվրամիության երկրներում այդ ցուցանիշը 16 տոկոս է, ամբողջ աշխարհում՝ 22,9 տոկոս: Նրա խոսքով՝ ուսումնասիրությունը ցույց է տվել, որ Հայաստանում կիրառվող կանանց աշխատանքային սահմանափակումը տարեկան Հայաստանի ՀՆԱ-ին պատճառում է 50-60 մլն դրամի կորուստ:
Անկախ փորձագետ Նվարդ Մանասյան էլ իր հերթին նշեց, որ կանայք աշխատում են այնպիսի ոլորտներում, որտեղ տարեկան կտրվածքով աշխատավարձերը ցածր են: «Կանանց 50 և ավելի տոկոսը կազմում են գյուղատնտեսությունում, հանրային կառավարման, կրթության, առողջապահության և արվեստի ոլորտներում աշխատողները, որոնք համարվում են ավելի քիչ մրցունակ ոլորտներ»,- ասաց Մանասյանը՝ հավելելով, որ տեղակատվական տեխնոլոգիայի, ֆինանսական ոլորտներում կանանց ներգրավվածությունը քիչ է, շատ դեպքերում էլ այդ ոլորտում ներգրավված կանանց աշխատավարձերը զիջում են տղամարդկանց աշխատավարձերին: Ըստ փորձագետի՝ պետական հատվածում ներգրավվածների 60 տոկոսը կանայք են, սակայն նրանց 50 տոկոսից ավելին աշխատում են ստորին օղակում, իսկ որոշում կայացնելու մակարդակում կառավարում իրականացնողների 90 տոկոսը տղամարդիկ են:
Նվարդ Մանասյանը խոսեց նաև մեկ այլ հետազոտության արդյունքների մասին, ըստ որի՝ հայաստանյան դպրոցներում երկու տարիքային խմբերում կատարված ուսումասիրությունը ցույց է տալիս, որ աղջիկների առաջադիմությունը, օրինակ՝ ֆիզիկա և մաթեմատիկա առարկաներում շատ ավելի բարձր է, քան տղաներինը, հետևաբար, տեսականորեն կանայք պետք է, որ ներգրավված լինեն գիտահեն ուղղություններում, սակայն փաստացի նման բան տեղի չի ունենում:
