Կոնստանտին Տեր-Նակալյանը Ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.

Կարեն Վարդանյանի զարհուրելի սպանությունը կրկին ակտուալ է դարձնում ինձ համար մահապատժի վերականգնման թեման։ Նոր էլ կոլեկտիվի հետ նստած բանավիճում էինք, բայց չենք կարողանում այդ բարդ դիլլեմայից ինչ որ համընդհանուր ընդունելի ելք գտնել։

Իհարկե միշտ ակտուալ է դատական սխալի գործոնը, երբ միանգամայն անմեղ մարդը կարող է ոչ միայն ճաղերի հետևում հայտնվել, այլև կորցնել կայնքը։ Եթե չեմ սխալվում, ԱՄՆ-ում մահապարտների մինչև 2 տոկոսը անմեղ է դուրս գալիս, բայց երբեմն չափազանց ուշ է լինում՝ ինչ որ բան փոխելու համար։

Մյուս կողմից, լինում են իրավիճակներ, երբ գործ ենք ունենում այնպիսի սարսափելի հանցագործությունների հետ և այնպիսի անուղղելի վիժվածքների հետ, որոնց պարզապես պետք է բնաջնջել, այլ ոչ թե ազատազրկել (թեկուզ՝ ցմահ) ու հարկատուների փողերով նրանց պահել։ Հարցը միայն ֆինանսականը չէ։ Մենք արդեն ունենք նախադեպեր, երբ տարիների ընթացքում բուն հանցագործությունն ու դրա իրական մանրամասները մոռացվել են հանրության կողմից, հանդարտվել է նաև էմոցիոնալ ֆոնը, իսկ մարդասպանը սկսել է սրբի կերպարով հանդես գալ ու ազատության համար պայքարել։

Վառ օրինակ է Մհեր Ենոքյանը, ով ցմահ ազատազրկված լինելով դաժանագույն սպանության համար, հիմա իսկական ֆան կլուբ ունի ֆեյսբուքում և միանգամայն լուրջ մարդիկ անկեղծորեն հավատացել են, որ Ենոքյանը ռեպրեսիվ համակարգի անմեղ զոհ է։ Մատաղիսի գործով արդարացվածների թեմայով էլ թերահավատները թերևս քիչ չեն, իսկ ամենաակտուալ մեկնաբանությունն այս գործով արեց Ջհանգիրյանը․ եթե իրենք չէին, բա ո՞վ էր ու ինչո՞ւ այլևս չեն փնտրում մեղավորներին (ի նկատի ունի, որ պատկան մարմինները գիտեն, որ սպանողները հենց արդարացվածներն են, պարզապես ինչ-ինչ պատճառներով, ավելի նպատակահարմար են գտել այս տարբերակը)։

Հիմա էլ Կարեն Վարդանյանի սպանության գործով անկասկած կդատվեն մարդիկ ու չի բացառվում, որ նույնիսկ ցմահ ազատազրկվողներ էլ լինեն՝ հաշվի առնելով թե ինչ դաժան ու ցինիկ հանցագործության հետ գործ ունենք։ Սակայն ի՞նչ երաշխիք ունենք, որ ասենք 15 տարի անց, այս վիժվածքները գլխներիս «Մհեր Ենոքյան - 2» չեն դառնա։ Ի վերջո, ներողամտությունը միշտ չի, որ նպատակահարմար է ու գրեթե երբեք չի գնահատվում։
