Դուք տեսել եք, թե իսրայելական պետությունն ինչ թափով և ծանր սպառազինությամբ է հաշվեհարդար տեսնում այն պաղեստինցիների հետ, որոնք կհամարաձկվեն նույնիսկ քարերով (իսկ պաղեստինցիները, որպես կանոն քարերից բացի այլ զենք չեն ունենում) հարվածել իր զինվորին կամ քաղաքացուն։ Եվ այդ մեղմասած ոչ համաչափ պատասխանը արաբներին պայմանավորված է ոչ այնքան այն հանգամանքով, որ Իսրայելը ռազմական մեծ ներուժ և գերժամանակակից սպառազինություն ունեցող երկիր է, որն ամեն փոքրիկ միջադեպ օգտագործում է իր ռազմական առավելությունը ցույց տալու և արաբներին ճնշելու համար, այ պարզապես այս երկրում զինվորն ամենաբարձր արժեքն է, զինվորն այստեղ սրբություն է, որի կյանքի և անվտանգության համար պետությունն անում է ամեն ինչ։ Եվ ցանկացած ոտնձգություն իսրայելական բանակի զինվորի նկատմամբ լռեցվում է ամենախիստ ձևով, այնպես, որ արաբները լավ հասկանան ՝ինչ թանկ գին ստիպված կլինեն վճարել մյուս անգամ։
Իսկ դուք նկատել եք, թե ինչ արժեք ունի մեր պետության համար զինվորը, ես կասեին արժեք չունի (ԱԺ-ի ամբիոններից տարբեր կեղծ պաթոսային և հորթային ելույթներով զինվոր չեն մեծարում)։ Տարիների ընթացքում մեր պետությունը ժողովրդի համար սովորական և առօրեական դարձրեց ամեն օր զինվորի մահվան բոթով արթնանալը, ստիպեց համակերպվել այն մտքի հետ, որ զինվորի վրա անընդհատ կրակելու են և հասկացնել տվեց, թե գիտեք, ոչ թե մենք ենք այնքան թույլ, որ կարողանանք զինվորի կյանքը փրկել, այլ ադրբեջանն է շատ ագրեսիվ և հայտյաց։ Այսիքն մեզ պարտադրել են այն մտածողությունը, որ սահմանին ամեն օր զինվորներ են զոհվում ոչ թե նրա համար , որ պետությունն է թերանում և պետությունն է անզոր պաշտպանել իր զինվորին, այլ ադրբեջանն է արնախում։ Այնինչ ոչ թե Ադրբեջանը չէր հասկանում, որ մեր զինվորի ուղղությամբ չպետք է կրակի, այլ մենք լավ չէին բացատրում նրան այդ, որովհետև առանձնապես փորձ էլ չէին անում բացատրելու, որովհետև ժողովուրդն արդեն համակերպված էր, որ իր զինվորները պետք է զոհվեն՝ անտեղի։
Քառօրյա պատերազմն, իհարկե, ջրի երես հանեց այն հանցավոր բացթողումները, որոնք հեշտ խոցելի էին դարձնում մեր զինվորին: Պարզվեց, որ իրականում, լավ էլ հնարավոր էր նվազագույնի հասցել այդ կորուստները, բայց չի արվել, որովհետև մեր պետություը չունի այն վերաբերմունքը զինվորի նկատմամբ, որն ունի Իսրայելը։
