Britan Exit. այս 2 բառերից կազմված հապավումը՝ BrExit-ը, համառոտ ներկայացում է Մեծ բրիտանիայում մեկնարկած այն գործընթացը, որը ենթադրում է տվյալ երկրի՝ Եվրամիության կազմից դուրս գալու գործընթացը: Համաձայն վիճակագրական տվյալների՝ վերջին տարիներին Մեծ Բրիտանիան ԵՄ-ում կատարվող ներդրումների չափով զբաղեցնում է ընդամենը 4-րդ հորիզոնականը: 2014 թվականին Միացյալ Թագավորության կողմից իրականացվել են 11,3 միլիարդ եվրոյի ներդրումներ, իսկ 2015 թվականին այդ ցուցանիշը կազմել է 11,0 միլիարդ եվրո:
Եվրամիությանը միանալու առաջին իսկ օրվանից Մեծ Բրիտանիան անդամ այլ երկրների հետ մշտապես ունեցել է տարաձայնություններ բազմաթիվ հարցերում, ինչպես նաև միության անդամ լինելուն զուգահեռ, մշտապես փորձել է պաշտպանել իր անկախությունը տարբեր ոլորտներում: Դրա վառ ապացույցը Մեծ Բրիտանիայի կողմից այդպես էլ միասնական արժութային միավորի՝ եվրոյի չանցնելն էր: Այդ երկիրը շարունակեց դրամաշրջանառություն իրականացնել ֆունտով, որի արդյունքում մշտապես պահպանեց անկախ դրամավարկային քաղաքականություն իրականացնելու իր հնարավորությունը:
Հունիսի 24-ին Մեծ Բրիտանիայում նշված հարցի հետ կապված կազմակերպվել էր հանրաքվե: Ավելի ուշ արդեն հրապարակվեցին ԵՄ-ից դուրս գալու վերաբերյալ հանրաքվեի նախնական արդյունքները, որոնց համաձայն, երկրի քաղաքացիների մեծ մասը քվեարկել է ԵՄ կազմից դուրս գալու օգտին: Մոտ կեսդարյա անդամակցությունից հետո ԵՄ-ն լքելու օգտին է քվեարկել Մեծ Բրիտանիայի ընտրողների 52%-ը, իսկ մնալու օգտին` 48%-ը: Սա, ըստ էության, հաստատումն է Բրիտանիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ֆիլիպ Համոնդի այն հայտարարության, թե օրինագիծն «ստացել է թագուհու արտոնագիրը», այսինքն՝ պաշտոնապես հաստատվել է։
Տարբեր վերլուծականների թոփում հայտնված Brexit-ն ամենաուժեղ հարվածը հասցրեց եվրաինտեգրմանը՝ այդ կառուցի կազմավորման օրվանից սկսած: Սա ոչ միայն քաղաքական, այլև տնտեսական և հարակից այլ ոլորտներ ընդգրկող մեծ ռիսկ է պարունակում: Թեև Եվրամիությունը առանց Մեծ Բրիտանիայի էլ կշարունակի գործել, սակայն պետք է իրականացնել այնպիսի քայլեր, որոնք նախ և առաջ կկարողանան վերականգնել այս երևույթի արդյունքում կորսված հեղինակությունը Եվրամիության հանդեպ, այնուհետև հնարավորություն կտան լուծել փոփոխության հետևանքով առաջացած խնդիրները:
