Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլի ազգային հավաքականի և «Մանչեսթեր Յունայթեդ»-ի կիսապաշտպան Հենրիխ Մխիթարյանն առաջին հարցազրույցն է տվել անգլիական ակումբի պաշտոնական կայքին:

Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, Մխիթարյանն ընդգծել է, որ «Մանչեսթեր Յունայթեդ»-ում խաղալն իր համար նոր հնարավորություն է ու մարտահրավեր: «Ես ամեն ինչ կանեմ իմ լավագույն որակները ցուցադրելու համար»,- ասել է հայ ֆուտբոլիստը:

Նա հավելել է, որ անգլիական ակումբ տեղափոխվելու որոշման վրա ազդեցություն է ունեցել այն հանգամանքը, որ թիմի գլխավոր մարզչի ղեկը ստանձնել է հանրահայտ պորտուգալացի մարզիչ Ժոզե Մոուրինյոն: «Սակայն կարևոր է նաև թիմը, որն ունի շատ հարուստ պատմություն: Ես չէի կարող մերժել այս առաջարկը և շատ երջանիկ եմ այստեղ լինելու համար»,- ասել է Մխիթարյանը:

Նա հավելել է, որ առաջիկա մրցաշրջանն իր համար հրաշալի է լինելու ՝ հավելելով, որ իր համար հաճելի կլինի խաղալ նոր թիմի ֆուտբոլիստների հետ:

Հենրիխ Մխիթարյանը նշել է, որ վերջնականապես ֆուտբոլիստ դառնալու որոշում է կայացրել հոր մահից հետո, ով ևս ֆուտբոլիստ է եղել: «Երբ նա դեռ խաղում էր, ես շատ փոքր էի ֆուտբոլն ամբողջությամբ ընկալելու համար, սակայն նրա մահից հետո ես վերջնականապես որոշեցի ֆուտբոլիստ դառնալ: Ես ցանկանում էի շարունակել նրա գործը և մեծ նվաճումների հասնել: Հիմա ես ճիշտ ճանապարհին եմ»,- ասել է «Մանչեսթեր Յունայթեդ»-ի նորեկը:

Հայ ֆուտբոլիստը դիմել է նաև «Մանչեսթեր Յունայթեդ»-ի երկրպագուներին. «Հարգելի երկրպագուներ, ես շատ ուրախ կլինեմ ամեն անգամ ձեզ մարզադաշտում տեսնելու համար: Ես կանեմ հնարավոր ամեն բան «Մանչեսթեր»-ի հաղթանակներն ապահովելու համար»:

Հայաստանի ազգային հավաքականի կիսապաշտօանը «Մանչեսթեր Յունայթեդ»-ի հետ 4-ամյա պայմանագիր է կնքել:
