Ձեռներեցների ակտիվությունը խթանելու, նոր աշխատատեղեր ստեղծելու, ինչպես նաև Հայաստանում սկսնակ ձեռնարկություն ստեղծելու համար առկա ռեսուրսների մասին իրազեկելու նպատակով անցկացվելու է «Ստարտ-ափերի հայաստանյան առաջնություն» բիզնես մոդելների մրցույթ:
Armenia StartUp Cup 2016 Ազգային առաջնությունը բիզնես մոդելների առաջնություն է, որը բաց է ցանկացած բիզնես գաղափարի համար: 2016թ-ին այն անցկացվում է Երևանում, Գյումրիում, Վանաձորում, Դիլիջանում և Ստեփանակերտում: Առաջարկվող մոդելը պետք է լինի յուրահատուկ գաղափար, որը կներկայացնի բիզնեսի գործունեությունը ստեղծման պահից մինչև գործունեության 5-րդ տարին: 
Այս, ինչպես նաև մրցույթին մասնակցելու այլ մանրամասներ հետաքրքրվողներին ծանոթացնելու նպատակով օգոստոսի 11-ին Գյումրիի «Տեղեկատվական տեխնոլոգիաների կենտրոն»-ում կազմակերպվել էր Բաց դռների օր: Նախաձեռնությունը IAB Բիզնեսի միջազգային ակադեմիայինն է, գործընկերները՝ Ձեռնարկությունների ինկուբատոր հիմնադրամը, Գյումրու և Վանաձորի տեխնոլոգիական կենտրոնները, Դիլիջանի համայնքային կենտրոնը և Հայաստանի երիտասարդ բիզնեսմենների միությունը: 
 Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրեց նախագծի կառավարիչ Սերգեյ Գասպարյանը, Armenia StartUp Cup-ը Հայաստանում անցկացվում է 2012 թվականից, 2014 թվականին առաջին անգամ համաշխարհային Armenia StartUp Cup-ն անցկացվել է Երևանում, իսկ 2015 թվականից սկսած առաջնությունով զբաղվում է IAB Բիզնեսի միջազգային ակադեմիան: 
Այս տարի առաջին անգամ, ընդլայնելով իր սահմանները, նախագիծը իրականացնում է արդեն հայաստանյան առաջնություն մարզերում: «Ծրագիրը հիմա իրականացվելու է Երևանում, Գյումրիում, Վանաձորում, Դիլիջանում, աշխատում ենք այն իրականացնել նույնիսկ Ստեփանակերտում, քանի որ մարզերում էլ կան երիտասարդներ, ովքեր ունեն գաղափարներ և ուզում են իրենց գաղափարներն իրականացնել, իրենց բիզնեսը հիմնել և ավելի մեծ հաջողությունների հասնել»,- նշեց Սերգեյ Գասպարյանը՝ փաստելով, որ հետաքրքրությունը նախաձեռնության նկատմամբ շատ մեծ է: 
«Միայն Գյումրիում Բաց դռների օր միջոցառմանը մասնակցելու համար գրանցվել էր 20 մարդ, սակայն 40-ից ավելի մարդ եկավ: Հետաքրքրությունը շատ մեծ է, անշուշտ, դեռ բոլորը չեն աշխատում բիզնես գաղափարների վրա, բայց հուսով եմ երիտասարդությունը կսկսի այդ մտածելակերպով ապրել»,- հավելեց Սերգեյ Գասպարյանը:
Մրցույթին մասնակցության գաղափարները կարող են լինել տարբեր ոլորտներից՝ գյուղատնտեսությունից մինչև տեղակատվական տեխնոլոգիաներ: 
Մրցույթին մասնակցելու  հայտերի ընդունման վերջնաժամկետն է 2016 թ. օգոստոսի 15-ը: Մրցույթն անցկացվելու է փուլային եղանակով: Այն հաղթած լավագույն մասնակիցը հնարավորություն կստանա մասնակցելու համաշխարհային StartUp Cup-ին:
