Աշխարհում մատների վրա կարելի է հաշվել ժողովուրդների, որոնց, իրավամբ, կարելի է համաշխարհային ազգ համարել. դրանցից մեկն, անկասկած, հայ ժողովուրդն է: Աշխարհում դժվար թե գտնվի երկիր, որտեղ հայկական համայնք չլինի:Թե որքան հսկայական է հայկական սփյուռքի նշանակությունն ու ամեն մի սփյուռքահայ անհատի արժեքը հայրենիքի համար, առանձնակի բացատրությունների կարիք չի զգում. սփյուռքն ու Հայաստանը մեկ ընդհանուր օրգանիզմ են, և մեկն առանց մյուսի գոյություն ունենալ, պարզապես, չի կարող: Ստացվել է այնպես, սակայն, որ փոխանակ Հայաստան պետությունը Սփյուռքի համար այս փորձություններով լի ժամանակաշրջանում դառնա իսկական պատվար, չինովնիկները դեռ մի բան էլ իրենք են պահանջատերի դերում հանդես գալիս՝ առանց իրենք իրենց հարցնելու՝ մենք ի՞նչ ենք արել ՀՀ–ից դուրս ապրող հայության համար:

Բարեբախտաբար, մեր իրականությունում կան մարդիկ, ազգային բարերարներ, որ միանգամայն այլ գաղափարների կրող են ու չեն վարանում հարկ եղած դեպքում ձեռք մեկնել դրսի հայերին։ Ամենավառ օրինակը Գագիկ Ծառուկյանն է՝ մեր ժամանակների մեծագույն բարերարներից մեկը, ով հայտնի է իր բարեգործություններով թե՛ Հայաստանում, թե՛ մեր երկրի սահմաններից դուրս։ Նա բազմիցս է ապացուցել սեփական նվիրվածությունը ազգային գաղափարներին ու համամարդկային արժեքներին: Հայտնի է, որ սփյուռքի առաջ ներկայումս ծառացած ամենամեծ գերխնդիրը չձուլվելն է, հայկական ինքնության պահպանումը: Խնդիրը ոչ միայն արդիական է արևմտյան աշխարհում հանգրվանած հայերի համար, այլև՝ մերձավորարևելյան տարածաշրջանի հայության համար ևս։ Սփյուռքահայ երիտասարդության հայեցի կրթություն ստանալու խնդիրն այլևս օրհասական է: Դեռ անցած տարի աշխատանքային այց կատարելով Լիբանան՝ աշխարհում երբեմնի ամենածաղկուն հայ գաղթօջախներից մեկն ունեցող երկիր, Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը ձեռնամուխ է եղել ազգանվեր ու ազգապահպան մի ձեռնարկի, որով նախատեսվում է ամեն տարի թվով 20 հայ երիտասարդների բերել հայրենիք ու հոգալ նրանց ուսման ծախսերը, որի բուն նպատակը Հայաստան-Սփյուռք կապերի ամրապնդումն ու հայապահպանության գործին նպաստելն է (ի դեպ՝ հենց այդ ժամանակ էր նաև, որ Ծառուկյանը 500 հազ. դոլար գումար էր նվիրաբերել Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո Կաթողիկոսությանը, որ անգնահատելի դեր ունի հայապահպանության գործում)։

Եվ ահա երիտասարդներն արդեն հայրենիքում են՝ տեղի բուհերում կրթվելու ու իրենց նպաստը բերելու Հայրենիքի ու սփյուռքի հզորացման գործում: Իսկ սա նշանակում է, որ Ծառուկյանն անում է այն, ինչից վաղուց հրաժարվել է պետությունը. սեփական միջոցներն է ներդնում սփյուռքի երիտասարդ սերնդի հայեցի դաստիարակաության նվիրական գործում՝ մի բան, որի քաղցր պտուղները դեռ հետո ենք քաղելու…

Անկասկած Հայրենիք-Սփյուռք կապի պահպանման ու ամրապնդման հարցում պակաս դեր չունի Հայաստանի կողմից դրսի հայերի նկատմամբ վարվող քաղաքականությունը. եթե սփյուռքահայը զգա, որ սեփական հայրենիքում գնահատված է ու սիրված, երբեք երես չի թեքի նրանից, կկապվի նրա հետ հավետ՝ դառնալով ամուր խարիսխ փոթորկահույզ այս աշխարհում։ Ծառուկյանի՝ լիբանանահայ երիտասարդներին Հայաստան բերելու ու այստեղ նրանց ուսման հարցը լուծելու բուն նպատակը հենց դա է:
