Եթե ավելորդ կիլոգրամներից հնարավոր լիներ ազատվել՝ «հավանելով» նիհարելու մասին բոլոր նյութերն ու հրապարակումները, և սոցկայքերի էջերում տարբեր դիետաներ փակցնելով, ապա Երկրի վրա վաղուց գեր մարդիկ չէին լինի: Ցավոք կամ բարեբախտաբար, ավելորդ քաշը կորցնելու համար, անհրաժեշտ է ընդամենը երկու պայման՝ փակել բերանը և սպորտով զբաղվել: Այլ տարբերակ դեռ չեն հայտնաբերել: 
Մեր պատմությունը Կլարա Ուիլյամսի մասին է՝ Տեխաս նահանգից:
Կլարա Ուիլյամսը երբեք նիհարիկ չի եղել: Ոչ այդքան էլ ուշ, կշեռքը ցույց էր տալիս մի անհավանական թիվ՝ 190 կգ-ից ավելի…
Բայց թոռնիկի՝ Իսահակի, ծնվելուց հետո Կլարան հասկացավ. Ինչ-որ բան պետք է փոխել կյանքում: Նա միացավ «Նիհարեք մտածված» կազմակերպությանը, և սկսեց դաժան պայքար ավելորդ կիլոգրամների հետ:
Նա չէր հետևում հոգնեցնող դիետաների և իր մարմինը չէր երթարկում դաժան փորձությունների: Կլարան հատուկ վարժություններ էր անում տանը, ինչպես նաև շատ ժամանակ էր հատկացնում մաքուր օդում զբոսանքին: Ամեն շաբաթ նրան կշռում էին, և դա ավելի էր նրան ոգևորում, որպեսզի նիհարի: Իհարկե, այս ամեն ինչի հետ մեկտեղ, Կլարան վերանայեց իր սննդակարգը:
«Խմբի անդամների կողմից այքան մեծ աջակցություն էի ստանում, որ դա, ինչ-որ տեղ փրկեց իմ կյանքը», – հիշողություններով կիսվում է Կլարան: Արդյունքում նա կորցրել է 110 կգ: Այժմ նրա քաշը մի փոքր ավել է 80 կգ-ից:
«Ավելորդ քաշը կարծես արատավոր շրջանակ լինի, – ասել է Կլարան իր հարցազրույցներից մեկում: – Որքան շատ քաշ ես ունենում, այնքան շատ ես տառապում: Որքան շատ ես տառապում, այնքան քիչ ես շարժվում: Եվ, համապատասխանաբար, ավելի շատ քաշ ես հավաքում…»
«Ես նույնիսկ դժվարանում էի վեր կենալ բազմոցից, իսկ երեխայի մասին հոգ տանելու մասին խոսելն ավելորդ էր: Ես ինձ հիվանդ և հոգնած էի զգում: Ես որոշեցի պայքարել՝ լիարժեք կյանքով ապրելու համար»:
Այսօր Կլարայի սննդակարգ են մտնում սպիտակուցներով ու օգտակար ածխաջրերով հարուստ մթերքները: Ձուկ, հավ, ավոկադո, անյուղ յոգուրտ՝ այս ամենը հիմա նրա ամենօրյա սիրելի ուտելիքներն են: Նա հեռու է մնում արագ սնունդից, և անառողջ սնունդ իրեն միայն տոներին է թույլ տալիս:
Այժմ Կլարան ապրում է առանց բարձր ճնշման դեմ դեղահաբերի. Քաշը կորցնելու հետ, անհետացել է նաև այդ խնդիրը: Եվ ամենակարըորը, կատարվել է կնոջ բաղձալի երազանքը՝ նա կարող է երկար զբոսնել և խաղալ իր թոռնիկի հետ՝ առանց հոգնածություն զգալու:
