Բարձրագույն դատական խորհրդի անդամ Հայկ Հովհաննիսյանը հրաժարական է տվել:
Այս առնչությամբ նա Facebook-ի իր էջում գրել է.
«Այսօր ներկայացրել եմ հրաժարական` հետեւյալ պատճառաբանությամբ.
Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ժողովրդի առջեւ երդմանս համաձայն, բարձր պաշտոնը ստանձնելուց ի վեր նախաձեռնել եւ առաջնորդել եմ մի շարք ծրագրեր` միտված դատարանների արդյունավետության, թափանցիկության եւ հաշվետվողականության բարձրացմանն ու միջազգային լավագույն չափանիշերին համապատասխանեցմանը։
Համոզված եմ, որ այդ ծրագրերի գործարկումն ու իրականացումը կբարձրացնի դատական իշխանության հանդեպ հանրային վստահությունը եւ կնպաստի Հայաստանի տնտեսական մրցակցային դաշտի ու ներդրումային միջավայրի գրավչության բարելավմանը։
Ցավոք, Բարձրագույն Դատական Խորհրդի, որպես անկախ սահմանադրական մարմնի, գործունեությունն այդպես էլ չի համապատասխանում դատական խորհուրդների միջազգային լավագույն փորձին։
Միաժամանակ, ես պարտավոր էի իմ կողմից իրականացվող ծրագրերը հասցնել տրամաբանական ավարտի եւ նպատակահարմար չէի գտնում ավելի վաղ հրաժարական ներկայացնել։
Վստահ եմ, որ դատական բարեփոխումները պետք է իրականացվեն հրատապ եւ արդյունավետ կարգով, ինչի մասին բազմիցս բարձրաձայնել եմ։
Մինչդեռ, իմ կողմից առաջ քաշված մի շարք գաղափարներ եւ ծրագրեր Խորհրդում չեն կարեւորում։
