Անգլիական ակումբում չեն ցանկանում գործը դատարան հասցնել, սակայն դեռ պատրաստ են նմանատիպ գործընթացի, եթե հարձակվողը հրաժարվի պայմանագիրը լուծարելուց։ «Մանչեսթեր Յունայթեդ»-ն առաջնահերթ է համարում պայմանագրի վաղաժամ դադարեցումը: «Կարմիր սատանաների» ղեկավարությունը չի ցանկանում, որ Ռոնալդուն Կատարի աշխարհի առաջնությունից հետո վերադառնա ակումբ, քանի որ աջակցում է գլխավոր մարզիչ Էրիկ Տեն Հագի այն կարծիքին, որ պորտուգալացին պետք է հեռանա «Մանչեսթեր Յունայթեդից»:

«Մանչեսթեր Յունայթեդ»-ի հարձակվող Կրիշտիանու Ռոնալդուն հարցազրույց էր տվել հանրահայտ լրագրող Պիրս Մորգանին: Ռոնալդուն խիստ քննադատության էր ենթարկել ակումբի ղեկավարությանը՝ նշելով, որ նրանք բացարձակապես ուշադրություն չեն դարձնում սպորտային ասպեկտին, իսկ ակումբը նրանց համար պարզապես մարքեթինգային նախագիծ է: Ռոնալդուն հայտարարել էր, որ չի հարգում թիմի գլխավոր մարզիչ Էրիկ Տեն Հագին, քանի որ վերջինս հարգանք չի տածում իր հանդեպ: Ռոնալդուն կարծիք էր հայտնել, որ «Մանչեսթեր Յունայթեդ»-ում որևէ առաջընթաց չի եղել թիմի երկարամյա գլխավոր մարզիչ Ալեքս Ֆերգյուսոնի հեռանալուց հետո: 

Ռոնալդուի հարցազրույցը մեծ աղմուկ է բարձրացրել ֆուտբոլային աշխարհում: Բազմաթիվ լրատվամիջոցներ գրում են, որ այդ հարցազրույցից հետո «Մանչեսթեր Յունայթեդ»-ը չի շարունակի համագործակցությունը պորտուգալացի հարձակվողի հետ, և ձմեռային տրանսֆերային պատուհանից հետո նա կհեռանա անգլիական ակումբից: ԶԼՄ-ներում տեղեկություններ են շրջանառվում, որ ֆուտբոլիստի գործակալը բանակցել է Մյունխենի «Բավարիա»-ի հետ, և ձմռանը Ռոնալդուն կարող է տեղափոխվել գերմանական ակումբ:
