ԱՄՆ-ի հայկական թանգարանում ներկայացված են Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը վերապրածների իրերը
CULTUREԱմերիկյան Մասաչուսեթս նահանգի Ուոթերթաուն քաղաքում բացվել է Ամերիկայի հայկական թանգարանը, որտեղ ցուցադրվում են Հայոց ցեղասպանության ժամանակներից պահպանված իրեր։
Թանգարանի գլխավոր տնօրեն Ջենիֆեր Լիսթոն Մանսոնը նշել է, որ ցուցանմուշների մեջ կան առարկաներ, որոնք դեռ փաթեթներից չեն հասցրել հանել, սակայն այժմ իրենք պատրաստ են «ցուցադրել» դրանք ողջ աշխարհին՝ տեղեկացնում է «Boston Globe»-ը։
Թանգարանի բացումը նախատեսված է նոյեմբերի 15-ին։ Բացման պաշտոնական արարողությանը հյուրերը կարող են վայելել նաեւ հայազգի թավջութակահարուհի Քեյթ Կայայանի երաժշտությունը։
Թանգարանի հավաքածուի մեջ կընդգրկվեն ավելի քան 5000 հինավուրց եւ միջնադարյան հայկական մետաղադրամներ, ավելի քան 3000 գործվածքներ, կրոնական գտածոներ, կավե միջնադարյան զարդանախշերով առարկաներ․․․
Ներկայում շենքը գտնվում է վերանորոգման փուլում, իսկ թանգարանի դիզայնն իրականացնում է հանրահայտ ճարտարապետ Վիրջինիա Դուրուտին։
Ցուցահանդեսում կներկայացվի միջնադարյան մասունք՝ մետաղյա ձեռք, որը հաջողվել է փրկել Ցեղասպանության ժամանակ։ Այն թանգարանին է նվիրել Աղավնի Դեմիրճյանը։ Նրա խոսքերով՝ մետաղյա ձեռքը կոտորածից փախած երկու կանայք են 1916թ․ փոխանցել իր մորը, որ պահպանի այն։ Նա էլ իր հետ բերել է ԱՄՆ եւ պահպանել տաճարի գերեզմանատանը։ Մոր մահից հետո Աղավնի Դեմիրճյանը որոշել է մասունքը թանգարանին նվիրաբերել։
Ջենիֆեր Լիսթոն Մանսոնն ընդգծել է ցուցահանդեսի կարեւորությունը՝ հիշեցնելով, թե քանի մարդ է ստիպված եղել լքել իր հայրենիքը։
