Թուրքիայի կողմից ռուսական Ս-400 զենիթահրթիռային համակարգեր գնելու հետ կապված տնտեսական պատժամիջոցները մնում են «կենսունակ» տարբերակ: Այս մասին հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարի ռազմաքաղաքական հարցերով օգնական Կլարկ Կուպերը, հաղորդում է Reuters-ը:

Ավելի վաղ Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը հայտարարել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ը պետք է նախ լավ մտածի, ապա նոր ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամի դեմ պատժամիջոցներ սահմանի:

 

«Ես պատժամիջոցներ սահմանելու համար որեւէ հնարավորություն չեմ տեսնում: Սակայն եթե նրանք դա անեն, ապա մենք սեփական պատժամիջոցները կունենանք»,- ասել էր նա:

 

Կուպերի խոսքով՝ ԱՄՆ-ն եւ ՆԱՏՕ-ի իր դաշանկիցները նախկինի պես շարունակում են Թուրքիային հակահրթիռային պաշտպանության այլընտրանքային համակարգեր առաջարկել: Եվ ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից նույնիսկ ամենաչնչին պատժամիջոցները կարող են հանգեցնել թուրքական լիրայի հերթական անկմանը:
