ժամը 12:50-ի սահմաններում ոստիկանության Բաղրամյանի բաժին ահազանգ է ստացվել Քարակերտ գյուղի Բարեկամության փողոցի տներից մեկի բնակչից։ Նա հայտնել է, որ նույն օրը ժամը 10:30-ից մինչև 12:00-ն ընկած ժամանակահատվածում անհայտ անձը կամ անձինք, օգտվելով տան 2-րդ հարկի դռան բաց լինելու, ինչպես նաև տան անդամների զբաղված լինելու հանգամանքից, ննջասենյակի զգեստապահարանի վրա դրված ճամպրուկից հափշտակել են մոտ 25 մլն դրամ և 2 հազար դոլար:
Պարզվել է, որ գողությունը կատարել են տանտիրոջ՝ 56-ամյա Դիմոս Դ.-ի կնոջ եղբայրները՝ համագյուղացիներ 56-ամյա Սերժիկ Պ.-ն և 52-ամյա Սեյրան Պ.-ն:
Նրանք ննջասենյակի զգեստապահարանի վրա դրված ճամպրուկը դանակով կտրել են և այնտեղից հափշտակել գումարը:
Ոստիկանները կասկածյալներ Սերժիկ և Սեյրան Պ.-երին բերման են ենթարկվել ոստիկանության Բաղրամյանի բաժին, որտեղ էլ փաստերի ճնշման տակ նրանք խոստովանել են, որ գողությունը իրենք են կատարել:
