«Մեր կոլեկտիվ գիտակցության, հայրենասիրության, հանուն քո ժողովրդի ու պետականության որևէ զրկանքի գնալու պատրաստակամության լակմուսի թուղթն Արցախի պատերազմն էր: 3-4 տարի տևած այդ պատերազմում, եթե դուրս հանենք քարոզչական բաղադրիչն, ապա սփյուռքից պատերազմին մասնակցածների թիվը չի անցել 2 տասնյակը: Սա թիվ է, որը կարելի է «անտեսել», չնայած որ այս սակավ թվաքանակի մեջ էր օրինակ` Մոնթեն:
Ի՞նչ եղավ պատերազմից հետո` երկիրը հայտնվեց ծանր տնտեսական վիճակում ու պետք էր փող, ներդրում, հայերս փող ունենք, ավելին` թե այն ժամանակ, թե հիմա կան միլիարդատեր հայեր, բայց չեղան լուրջ ներդրումներ, լուրջ օգնություններ ու երկիրը կառուցելուն օգնելու ցանկություն: Հիմա մենք դարձյալ ճգնաժամի մեջ ենք, Հայաստանն ունի 10 մարզ, որոնցից յուրաքանչյուրն ունի 3-5 «շրջան» ամեն շրջանից դրսում ապրող միքանի հարուստ մարդ ունի: Այդ մարդիկ հիմնականում զբաղված են իրենց համայնքի եկեղեցին կամ գերեզմանի պարիսպները բարեկարգելով, չի եղել ու չկա նրանց հետ ճիշտ աշխատող իշխանություն: Նայեք, թե ինչպես է իր սփյուռքի հետ աշխատում Իսրայելը, Իսլանդիան, Իռլանդիան, Լեհաստանը...:
Այո կան մեծահարուստ հայեր, որ փող դնում են երկրում, երջանկահիշատակ Լևոն Հայրապետյանը, ում այդպես էլ չգնահատեցինք, չմեծարեցինք ըստ արժանվույն, մյուսը Սամվել Կարապետյանն է, ով միլիոններ է ծախսում Հայաստանում ու Արցախում, բայց նույնսիկ միքանի օր առաջ շտապօգնության բժիշկներին փոխանցված դրամական աջակցության համար մարդուն «շնորհակալություն» ասող էլ չեղավ, գոնե ֆեյսբուքի սիրահար չինովնիկներից մեկն այդ լուրով կիսվեր իր էջում (սա իհարկե կեսկատակ):
Ասելքս այն է, որ հայերի միասնականության, ճգնաժամային պահերին համախմբվելու թեզերը ավելի խորն ուսումնասիրության կարիք ունեն: Մոտենում է տնտեսական լուրջ ու երկարատև ճգնաժամ, տեսնենք, թե ով ինչի է ընդունակ ու վիրտուալից իրական հայրենասիրություն քայլն ով կկատարի»:
