Ստեֆանի Մայերը հայտարարել է, որ «Մթնշաղներ»-ի վամպիրների մասին եւս երկու գիրք է գրելու
CULTUREՍտեֆանի Մայերը, ով օգոստոսի սկզբին հրատարակեց «Կեսգիշերի արեւը» («Midnight sun») գիրքը, որը գրվել է «Մթնշաղներ» սագայից վամպիր Էդվարդի անունից, հայտարարել է, որ մտադիր է նույն շարքի եւս երկու վեպ ստեղծել, հայտնում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի»-ն՝ հղում անելով USA Today-ին:
«Եւս երկու գիրք կա, որոնք ուզում եմ գրել: Առայժմ ես դրանք ընդհանուր գծերով եմ նկարագրել եւ առաջին գլուխն եմ գրել: Սակայն դա դեռեւս այն չէ, ինչով ես պատրաստ եմ զբաղվել հենց հիմա: Ես ուզում եմ նոր բանի վրա աշխատել»,- ասել է Մայերը:
Ամերիկացի գրողը պարզաբանել է, որ ցանկանում է ստեղծել նոր աշխարհ, որում կլինեն այլ կանոններ, եւ նոր դիցաբանություն, որը, հավանաբար, կապ չի ունենա վամպիրների եւ նրանց օրենքների հետ. «Դիցաբանությունը իմ տարերքն է»:
