Հայաստանում իշխանություններն ու նրանց մերձակա շրջանակները տարբեր կեղծ օրակարգերով ամեն ինչ անում են, որ Արցախի հարցը, այդ թվում՝ Բերձորի միջանցքի շրջափակման թեման հնարավորինս քիչ շրջանառվի, քիչ քննարկվի: Սակայն, ինչպես քաղաքագետ Բենիամին Մաթևոսյանն է նշում, Արցախում հիմա որոշվում է ոչ միայն Արցախի, այլև Հայաստանի լինել-չլինելու հարցը:
«Եթե ԱՀ-ն, այնուամենայնիվ, դիմադրեց, հույս կլինի, որ ՀՀ-ում էլ ինչ-որ գործընթացներ կլինեն, և այդ դիմադրությունը կհասնի իր տրամաբանական ավարտին: Բայց եթե չեղավ, վստահեցնում եմ, որ 2020-ի աղետալի պատերազմը մեզ պարզապես շատ փոքր էպիզոդ է թվալու»,«Փաստի» հետ զրույցում ասում է քաղաքագետը՝ հավելելով, որ երբ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հունվարի 10-ին Ադրբեջանի նախագահի հետ սինխրոն ասուլիս տվեց, այն ոչ այնքան Արցախի մասին էր, որքան Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ապագայի: Անդրադառնալով այն փաստին, որ Արցախի հարցում ամեն ինչ միայն հումանիտար խնդրի հարթություն է իջեցվել այս իշխանությունների կողմից՝ նա նկատեց. «Արցախի նկատմամբ այնպիսի վերաբերմունք են ցուցաբերում, ինչպես, օրինակ՝ Սփյուռքում գտնվող ցանկացած գաղթօջախի:
Միայն մի տարբերություն կա. ըստ իրենց, Արցախն ավելի վատն է, քան, օրինակ՝ Մարսելի գաղթօջախը, որովհետև այլ հավասար պայմաններում, իրենց պատկերացմամբ, Մարսելից մեզ գումար են ուղարկում, իսկ այստեղ «խեղճ Նիկոլը» ստիպված է ինքն Արցախին գումար ուղարկել: Իրենց ընկալումներով Արցախն առավելագույնը հայերի գաղթօջախ է՝ Ադրբեջանի տարածքում»:
